Is this still available? And if so, can someone send me a link to the information and to buy it please?

I thought I'd searched everything over at allears and themousefor less but knowing me I probably missed it, so if anyone can send me the link I'd appreciate it.

And if it's Not still available, is there anything else like it that would work?

Dh figures we'll eat in our room, equipped with kitchen, take snacks, each lunch in the parks, then have a late dinner either back in the room or on the way.

But I know the kids, and me, and we'll want to sample everything we can! So wanted to check into it to see if it would save us some money in the long run.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

IF your staying in a room equipped with a kitchen, it sounds like you are staying in a DVC Villa. If you rented that villa directly from Disney, yes, you can add the dining plan as part of the package. If you are staying on DVC points (you are a member or have rented from a member), those ressies are not currenty eligible for a dining plan. The annual DVC meeting are coming up in early December, if there is a change in that eligibility, it may be announced at those meetings.

The Dining Plan includes one CS (Counter Service), one TS (Table Service) and one Snack per person per day. It is a lot of food and a lot of time spent eating. We have been to WDW many times, and this was okay for us this trip. I believe the adult rate for 2006 is about $37 per person per day. You must book it for your entire length of stay, and everyone has to be on the same plan. It is part of a "package" so you need to have a room, purchase park tickets and the dining plan.
If you are planning on cooking in some meals, you probably will not save money - and probably will have unused meals you have paid for left.
We (3 adults) used it in October and we loved it. You need to be willing to eat at a sit down restaurant each day, and this can take an hour and half to complete a meal. Be sure you are willing to take that much "park time" out of your schedule each day.
We spent $735 for the plan and we ate $1184.86 worth of food. So as you can see we saved a lot of money. We ate where we wanted to eat and ordered what appealed - we did not try to maximize the plan by ordering the most expensive item on the menu.
Check out the menus at allearsnet.com for all of the restaurants to help you decide if this is the right plan for your family.
Have fun, whatever you decide to do.

We're staying at Westgate in a 2 bedroom with kitchen room. So figure I'll bring down food.

One of my biggest concerns is what Hopefully wrote. We'll end up eating more then we intend so wanted to check into if the plan would actually save us money.

Can you buy the meal plan if you aren't staying at a Disney resort? We'll have 3 adult (even though one is only 11) and 2 children ages 3&6)

Sheri, you can only get the Disney Dining Plan if you are booked with a package at a Disney resort. You may be able to obtain a DDE (Disney Dining Experience Card) if somone in your party is either a Florida resident or has purchased an Annual Pass.
