We are traveling next month with some friends in 2 separate rooms. All reservations are for the entire group going. When we get to the restaurants do we just tell them who is on what check or do the reservations need to be changed? How do you use kids meals? Also can adults use the kid meals?

Sorry if this is confusing. First time in separate rooms or traveling with kids on the DDP

First, the restaurant does not care who is from what room, so just tell them, we did this and really easy. The kids can order from the kids menu, and, yes an adult can too..but you get a lot less food. If you are ordering for dietary restriction (such as vegetarian) you can call ahead to say, get a "grown up" sized mac and cheese. We did, however, switch meals at some places and say order chicken strips for an adult an a chees pizza kids meal and then share or trade. Hope that helps.

I didn't figure they cared just wanted to make sure I didn't need to change anything. Ok what about places that don't have kids menus will they take away the kids CS or adults if not enough meals are purchased there? There will be 3 adults and 1 child in our room. My biggest fear is they go to a place that doesn't have a kids menu they will end up taking away an adult CS unless we all order together. They plan on going to Casey's a couple of times. DH and I don't eat hot dogs due to the fact I'm allergic.

That sort of situation is exactly why they don't separate adult vs. child CS credits.

So I don't need to worry if they take away all adult CS meals at Casey's. The reason I'm trying to figure it out is DH are planning on sharing some meals so we will have a couple left on the last day so we won't have to worry about money for meals that day. I'm afraid if all we have is kids CS meals left then we will have to pay for them.

They do not separate adult cs and children cs, they just give you a lump sum and you are suppose to keep track of it. You will never be charged for getting a adult cs vs. a childrens cs.

Thank you. I was thinking that we would have 5 CS for the child and then 15 CS for the adults. It seems like it'll just be a combined 20 CS for the group. What about TS do they work the same way?

No, TS is divided into adult and children's meals. There is always a child's menu at the TS restaurants. You can use the child's TS only for the children's menu, since they charge you less for the DDP for those 3-9 year olds. My DS can eat me under the table most days, so we often traded or he ate some of my food.

Thank you. I didn't figure that TS worked the same way but wanted to cover all of my basis. I'm the one basically in charge of everything. Also off topic but do you get enough food for kids to share on the CS meals.
