Dining Plan with tubies

we decided to get the dining plan despite the fact that our kids don’t eat by mouth. We enjoy having the meal paid for in advance. It’s still frustrating. My question is: has anyone ever ordered a meal and asked the restaurant (sit down) to blend it until it can be run through the feeding tube?

I’ve never heard of anyone asking for that at Disney, so I can’t say for certain, but I would be shocked if they agreed to do it.

Your best bet would be to contact special services directly. I bet there's a link in one of the stickies on this forum?

It’s probably not possible in the counter service restaurants because they have very set menus and are unlikely to have equipment that they don’t need to make their menu items.
I have heard of people doing it in the full service (sit down) restaurants. Since they are making food from scratch, they have many more options for preparation. Be prepared to explain exactly what you need since they would probably not have a good idea of what you need for the food to go down the tube without clogging it (what should be blended with what, the consistency you need it to be, etc.).

The best people to discuss it with would be the Special Diet department. There is contact information in this link: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/special-dietary-requests/

I agree with SueM that this may be key. The dining rooms on DCL ships can purée foods on request, but that makes it more to the consistency of baby food, and I would think your child needs it more liquid.

Enjoy your vacation!
