So we are leaving Friday for our 7 day trip-staying at Coronado and have the regular dining plan so 1 counter service, 1 table service, 2 snacks and mug for each of us (me, DH and 2 boys aged 13 and 16)
Can the 13 and 16 year old charge their own snacks meals etc without us present...using their Magicbands?

Thanks!

So they need a PIN...separate from mine? Also do they require a CC that is linked to their band in order to do this?

You only need one pin for all of you. The pin is connected to reservation. Yes, the boys can use their magic bands to pay using credits. My granddaughter at 12 was able to use her magic band last year, without us all wait in in line.

Just so you know, all credits are available to everyone. So the boys could technically use all of the credits!!!!

Charging is different than using dining plan credits. When they want to purchase snacks, they tell the cashier (sometimes cashier's will ask) that they want to use their snack credits or meal credits.

If you are at resort (not parks), most of the time you can trade your drink (use refillable mug) and get a snack. When you are at register ask if the drink can be exchanged for "said" item.

Charging is using your credit card on file and making purchases (Any kind - food\souvenir s). You can request that their bands not have charging privileges at check in. Enjoy your vacation.
