Dining plan with asperger child question

I would like to get the dining plan when we go to Disney in Feb. I have a son who has aspergers and is sometimes afraid of restaurants. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to what he is afraid of. I was wondering if we could order the food to go if my son was afraid. Also, could I have my husband and other son order for us with the dining plan and get our food wrapped when they are done if my son is afraid? Anyone have any experience with this? TIA!

I think that if you speak the manager they will bend over backwards for you. I do know from working with children with Asperger's that you never know when he will get scared but it sounds like you have a good backup plan in case you want to leave or get it to go.

I'm sure that the restaurants would accomodate your requests!

BTW, my son is diagnosed as PDD-NOS and I understand your concerns. You may be surprised how well he does at Disney.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation!

You might consider the seating factor too - to the extent he can be a little farther away and/or not cornered in, will that help? Ask for a table away from the main traffic flow?
