Dining plan upgrade

Hi this is my first time posting, so thanks in advance for your help.
We booked our WDW trip starting 3/31/2012 and got free dining before they changed the dates. I was doing some looking and thought it would be better to upgrade to the deluxe dining plan. When I called the Disney operator told me because the free dining dates have changed I would lose my free dining if I changed to Deluxe Dining. Is there any way around this?

Call and ask to speak to a supervisor. They should be able to do it without an issue. You are trying to give them more money in the long run... supervisors are normally are very helpful when it comes to getting more money.
