Dining plan timing

We are starting our Disney vacation Thursday June 3. The price change for hign season starts June 4. Any ideas how pricing would work, since we check in and start on the trird, would we get the 41.99 rate the whole trip or would the price jump to 46.99 starting the next day. There will be four of this and may change my thinking if we can get the same low price our entire stay, we where not going to get the dining plan but this could change our thinking. I never buy the DDP but I assume it works the same as the room - you will pay the higher price once that peak pricing date hits.

It used to not be like that for the rooms, but now it is.
