Is it true that you have to purchase the meal plan when you book as a package only? We did room only reservations and they are paid for. Now we are thinking we should have done the meal plan also. Family of 2 adults and 2 children ages 14 & 12 staying for 1 week at Pop Century. We don't have AP or are not from Florida for the DDE.
Any insights or answers to our questions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, it is available as a package only--has to include room, the cost of the dining plan to equal the nights of the room reservation, and at least one days MYW park ticket.

However, if you booked through Disney, I'm sure they would be happy to adjust your reservation. One difference, though. With a room only reservation, your deposit is only for one nights room cost. With the package, the entire amount must be paid at least 45 days prior to travel.

We had booked directly from Disney as a room only, but when we researched the dining plan, we cancelled the Disney reservation and booked the package through AAA, which at least gives you a small discount on the room.

Good luck!
