Can you split your stay into 1/2 deluxe, 1/2 regular? In the same sense, can you do 1/2 the trip park hoppers, and 1/2 base tickets?

We want to do a couple of 2 TS restaurants this time around, but I feel like deluxe is just too much food. Thoughts?

Not unless you are willing to make totally separate reservations for your stay. You would need to do a split stay and two separate packages. You can not split dining plan or ticket types within a single package stay.

Also, to add to the previous poster, adding the Park Hopper option to your tickets is a flat rate no matter how many days you want it for.

PPs are correct. You'd have to do two separate reservations. Additionally for tickets, it would cost more to get one set of 3 day tickets and one set of 4 day tickets (for example) than to buy one set of 7 day tickets. Plus as PP said, it's one cost for park hoppers for the amount of days on your tickets ($55 per person).

Rather than paying for DxDP, you could just get regular dining and then pay OOP for your cheapest TS meals and save the credits for the expensive 2TS meals. You can look at the menus of where you will be eating ahead of time to figure out what will be cheapest, or where you might not want dessert, etc.

We did DxDP in September and it was a lot of food. We also did not realize how much time we would want in between meals. We canceled a lot of ADRs because we weren't hungry when dinner came around. We ended up wasting a lot of credits and losing money on DxDP. In the "real world" we would never order an app, entree AND dessert, so we should have known.

You can't split up the dining plan. I have asked in the past. Even though I have visited Disney over dozen times, I have never done the plan. We always wing it and I don't want to plan my dinners.
