im trying to decide if i should get the quick service dining plan or just pay out of pocket, i checked the menus and i calculated about 340 for 8 days for my 8 year old son and i. does anyone know how much the quick service plan cost? i wonder what would be better budget wise.
thanks

Hi there,
The prices for the Quick service plans are $31.99 a day for Adults and $11.99 for children.
So it depends on if your figure includes 2 or 3 counter services per day. If it includes on 2 the dining plan would cost you $375.84 for both of you for 8 days. Which is a little more than what you came up with. But, keep in mind that it does include 2 snacks each day per person and a refillable mug so you wouldn't have to buy drinks at the resort. So, if that is the case paying the extra money I think might be worth it.
If your figure includes 3 counter services per day. You are better off staying with paying out of pocket.
Hope that helps.
Have fun.

We really like the QSDP. We used it on our most recent trip (2 adults, 1 child & an infant) and also last May (3 adults, 1 child & an infant). In both cases, it definitely saved us money. One thing to think about--if you are doing more than 1 sit-down meal per 3 or 4 days (for you, 2 TS or Character meals during your stay) in addition to the QSDP, you are probably not going to see much of a savings and you are going to have a hard time using all of your QSDP credits.

I think it is $11.99/child per night and $3X.99/adult per night...I can't remember exactly. I plugged some dates in the Disney website and got $376.84 if you are staying 8 nights and $328.86 if you are staying 7 nights. The price is based on the # of nights you are booked at the resort.

Your estimate of $340 seems low for 1 adult/1 child for 8 days. That averages out to slightly more than $40 per day. Did you include taxes and snacks? That's what I like about the QSDP--it includes the sales tax and two snacks per day per person.

Hope this helps!

Did you calculate deserts in also? Those add up if you will eat them. We would often get things to take back to our room or have later for our desert part of the meal.

Also did you calculate eating the cheapest? There are so many quick service options. We when first went I was thinking burgers and fries but I don't think we ate a burger once there. With the plan you won't have to worry about always ordering at the cheapest restuarant or the cheapest thing on the menu, you can really enjoy your dining experience.

Don't forget to also include your drink. A regular size fountain soda is at least $2.00. Bottle of water is around $2.50. These are included with the QS meal credit. So you meal credit is typically worth anywhere from $11-$15 or sometimes even more (Cosmic Rays half chix and ribs platter is $13 by itself. Add drink and dessert to that an you are deffinately over $15.)

Thanks for all the replies! I actually had calculated wrong:lmao: i budgeted for 2 meals only and no snacks. will definitely go with the plan. thanks!
