Dining Plan Question

I was lucky enough to rent points at OKW for my November trip. The person I’m renting from asked me if I wanted to add the meal plan and at the time I didn’t think it was something I would be interested in. I’m seriously reconsidering.

Although we’ll have a full kitchen….will we really feel like cooking? I don’t think so. I think we’ll have a few little meals in the villa, but nothing major.

I’ve read what the plan covers and now I think it will be nice not to have to worry about paying or cooking meals during our stay. What would you do?

Is the $38.99/adult and $11.99/child pricing correct?

Yes, the Dining Plan is $37.99 for adults and $9.99 for kids...which is the pricing I got last night when I called for the difference in price between these two dining plans. The Deluxe Dining Plan is $69.99 for adults and $19.99 for kids. I would be the only one cooking and I'm on vacation so we go on the dining plan because I feel that if we can't pay the extra for dining each day, we have no business going on a vacation like this....We use the kitchen to heat leftovers if hungry later in night or need a quick breakfast (of leftovers from nite before) but other than that, its just using the fridge to keep water, juices etc. cold.

This pricing does not take effect until 2008.

I love to cook-but not on vacation! ;) A great perk to the dining plan, as you mentioned, is not having to worry about paying each time you dine. :upsidedow And, yes your prices are correct for your trip in November. 2008 will bring new plans and prices.

I talked to my sister tonight and we agreed to go with the dining plan. I think we both had very good intentions on cooking, but we know when we get down there it will be a different story. We're going to get some breakfast and snacky stuff but I think that will be the extent of food for our villa. Thanks everyone for the input!

Now get busy on making ADRs! ;)

FYI, If you like Entenmanns donuts, you can purchase a box for only one snack credit from the dining plan. This is good for a quick breakfast. One of the very wise uses of the snack credits IMO. Check out the DDP threads for more good ideas for getting the most out of the snack credis and even some great deals for CS that will feed more than one person.
