Dining plan---question about checkin and checkout dates

We've always tried to minimize our costs eating around the World, but we sprung for the dining plan using the "Y" AAA code. We feel we got a great deal, but now have tons of questions.

I've been reading and reading, but I haven't (yet!) found this addressed: When does the dining plan begin and end? We check in early Thursday (after the DCL Wonder) and leave mid-afternoon Monday. This is 4 nights, so we have a total of 16 credits (4 people) for CS and TS, plus snacks. Can we use credits on Thursday and Monday, or is it an either/or thing? Is it similar to the old "Length of Stay" passes, that went until midnight on your checkout day, or is it exactly four days, not including the 5th checkout day.

Boy, I hope this makes sense. I'd appreciate any help you can offer.

They can be used however you like! You can use any number, any combination, any day. For example, you could use 2 CS credits per person on the day you arrive, and no TS credits, and then use 4 TS credits and no CS, the next day. They are totally flexible as to when and how you use them. Yes it is like the old Length of Stay passes, and they are good up to midnight the day you check out.

I believe that your dining points are good for the whole day that you check out.

Is there a AAA discount for the Dining Plan? We're planning to use the DP and I didn't know that.

This is why I love to DIS---take two sips of coffee, and two fellow North Easterners will have already answered my question! That was the answer I hoped for, so thank you both very much.

The new "Y" code that was posted on codes and rates was for the general public. A different but similar "Y" code was posted for AAA packages, but then removed from the mods because it is not a "general public" code. I was able to book it through CRO and through AAA for the same price. It's a good thing I had the code before it was removed from codes and rates, because the AAA agent I spoke to had no clue what I was talking about!
