I read on another board where the poster was awaiting her DP papers. DH and I have been to DW several times, however, this will be our first time on DP. What are these papers and do I need them @ check-in?

:goodvibes I'm not sure what papers they would be talking about??:confused3 I know at check in last time we went, they gave you a photocopied sheet of all the locations that accepted the DP. As of right now, we have not recieved anything in the mail, so I'm assuming we will get something when we get to POP. Thats all I can think of though!!

I'm confused as well, especially since this is our first time with dining plan. Maybe I'll call tomorrow just to see. Thanks.:goodvibes

I've done it a couple of times, there are no advance "papers" specific to the dining plan. Unless they mean their room confirmation.

WE just did the DP in May and the only papers in the mail we received was a "modified" reservation confirmation (it just had "added Meal Plan").

If you want to know where you can use the meal plan you can download the list

Was the other poster planning a Grand Gathering? :confused3 Last year, we had a Surprise Grand Gathering, and we received a nice little "packet" with Tinkerbell on the front that listed all of our ADR info. Yet when we have been on the DDP and NOT part of a GG (2005 and just last month) we never received any "DDP papers."

The other poster did not mention that they were part of a GG. I've never heard of this from anyone else so I don't think I'll worry about it. I've printed my info from WDW site and also have ressie info they sent me and that should be enough just in case there are questions at check-in. Thanks to all for your input.:thumbsup2

As for the DDP, I just take our confirmation numbers with us in a list I print up myself. Never needed it, just something the planner in me likes to have on hand. Have a fabulous adventure! :upsidedow

My guess is they are talking about a lodging confirmation showing the addition of DDP. When you check in, you should receive information about the dining plan, included restaurants, etc -- but the only thing I've ever received in advance is a confirmation letter from the resort where I'm staying.

I planned a grand gathering in Feb. 06 with the dining plan and did not receive any specific paperwork with our ADRs. I have another planned for the end of August & have not recieved anything. Last time I brought all of the confirmation numbers, but got a print-out upon checking in at POR.

An advanced copy would be nice, just to have in your hand as reassurance that all your ressies are what you thought they'd be. But, I wouldn't expect it.

When you book a room only you get your confirmation. But when you add the DDP, it makes your reservation a package. Since a package has to be paid in full 45 days before arriving, folks will receive a packett of information after the balance is paid in full. In your package is the voucher for checking in and the paperwork regarding what is included in your package, along with luggage tags. Maybe this is what they are asking about.
