Dining Plan Help

We will be traveling to Disney World in late August, my mother and I, to celebrate my 21st birthday.
We will be on the Disney Standard Dining Plan (1QS, 1TS, 1S)
I was wondering what everyone's favorite "grown up" options are on the dining plan
We are hoping for one fun character dining meal as well, we have been to Disney World many times but this will be the first time we are on the dining plan and are at a loss on where to eat!
Hoping to hear everyone's favorite places!

Favorite grown up is California Grill. Favorite character is Tusker House.

Fave Character and kind of grown up: Tusker House ( my fave is a ressie about 10:30 as you get a breakfast offerings and lunch)

Other faves for one credit, Olivia's at Old Key West, Raglan Road at DTD (live Irish step dancers and wonderful food and drinks), Via Napoli at Epcot, Kona at the Poly, Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani

Quick Service spots: Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD, Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary, Be our Guest at MK, Tangereine Cafe at EPCOT,

Signature if you decide to do a 2 cred: Cali Grill at the Contemporary, Citricos at the Grand Floridian, Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge

We have a reservation at Cali Grill for my birthday evening, but are not sure if it is worth "spending" the two credits! But we do want to enjoy drinks and the view

Are you planning to see Fantasmic? My family likes Mama Melrose in DHS, and it is a good value on the DDP. You will be able to have an appetizer included in the Fantasmic Dining package. The restaurant itself is nice as well, and at 1 credit, you get a lot.

My family always has at least one nice meal at a signature restaurant, so you may want to consider that as well. We like the Yachtsman Steakhousem wich is located at the Yacht Club, and my new favorite is Narcoosses at the Grand Floridian. I would plan a meal about 90 minutes before Wishes, and then enjoy the display from the front porch.

California Grill has a great observation deck, and is also a wonderful place to eat. The view is stunning, and the food and service is excellent.


Now if you are looking for a "fun" birthday celebration, I would think aboaut Raglan Road in DTD. It is one of our favorite places to eat. The food is really good and the Step Dancers are a bonus!
