Dining Plan for DVC - Need help...

We have 4 arriving Saturday and staying until Friday, 4 arriving Sunday and leaving on Thursday. Can we get the dining plan for just Sunday-Thursday with the segmented stuff?

Is the Dining Plan the same that everyone in the party has to get it in order for anyone to get it? What if only a few of us want the dining plan? Is this doable at a DVC?

Just wondering what the options are. Thanks!

Yes you can book the dining plan for just part of your stay and yes everyone on the reservation must be on the plan.

Yes, you can get the dining plan for just part of your trip, but everyone on the same reservation needs to be on the same dining plan. The dining plan will be charged for all people on the reservation the days you are getting it.

Yes. I sent an email to MS asking they segment out my trip first. Once that was done, then I knew I could take my time figuring out what I wanted to do.

The dining plans need to be paid for when they are added to the reservation so I didn't want to add them until we were closer to our August trip.

It was simple and easy. I did end up already adding the DxDDP for one night because we booked CRT for my cousin and her daughter and I didn't want to pay for that ahead of time since I would not be with them to get the credit back to my card.

But, we are doing the QSDP for one night and the DxDDP for another and then using TIW for the remainder of the trip.

4 nights for 4 adults and 2 kids on the DP
1 night for 3 adults on the DP

Don't know how part of our party ended up coming and leaving in the middle of the trip. Today one kid had to back out.

I'm worried that they will make us move rooms or we will loose our reservation if the segment. Have any of you done this? Did it work out okay? It won't be easy for my mom to change rooms because of health issues.

We have one person doing the 4 night stay who doesn't want to do the plan. I hope we can sway her because it isn't far that the rest of us have to miss out on it because she won't be flexible. I don't think she fully understands how it works. I hope she comes around.

Enough about me. Your DDP credits are good until midnight of your check out day. In other words, any left over credits from segment 1 are good until midnight of segment 2, etc. You might consider the DDP for segments 1 and 2 and skip it for segment 3. You can have leftovers, all the extra deserts and cookies and pay out of pocket if you need to.

I've considered not doing the DP on the 3rd segment but we probably will. I like the DP and the amount of food offered. The DxDP was a bit much food but I really like the DP.

We like to eat in this family.
