I received the prized postcard in the mail offering free dining at a deluxe resort OR counter service at a mod/value resoirt if booked by 4/30. I just called to be a cabin at FW and was told that it didn't qualify for the dining plan. :sad2:

I thought the cabins were considered a deluxe resort?

Hi there, the cabins are classified as a moderate resort. We are going there for the first time in September - can't wait. The Fort Wilderness Lodge is Deluxe however...

Sure hope you can use the deal! :wizard:

The cost to upgrade isn't that much. It's certainly far less than going from a mod to del resort unless you have a huge family.

I am not sure from the first post if you were denied free dining altogether, or if you were offered QS and expected the regular plan. Fort Wilderness is considered a moderate resort, under the terms of the PIN if free dining is available there it would be quick service.

I was told that FW cabins were not included in the offering for either dining plan. I was at least hoping for counter service.

Free dining may or may not be available for any given resort. There aren't very many cabins, it's likely they don't need free dining to fill them.

I just called reservations again and asked why I couldn't use the counter service discount PIN. It was because all discounts for that week assigned to the FW cabins had been used. By pushing back our travel dates one week, I saved $840 and upgraded to the PLUS Dining Plan.

I   DISBOARDS.
