I had a lapband put in 2 weeks ago. We are going to Disney in December, already have reservations, tickets, dining plan, etc. I know there is no way I'll be able to eat an appitizer, entree, and dessert because of my band. I'll be lucky to be able to finish an appetizer! We are going to be down there with a party of 5 adults, 2 kids. Can we simply tell the server we're only using 4 adult and 2 children's credits and then either I eat one of the appetizers or pay oop for whatever I decide to get? It just seems like a waste to use a meal credit on me since I won't be able to eat all the food.

Anyone else used the dining plan after wls? How did you work it out?

Yes you can do this at non-buffet all you can eat type places. At buffets your will either pay using a credit or full price OOP no matter what you eat. I have never has wls but I 'm a small eater and we have done similar things. Dh will eat the entree, I will eat the appitizer and we share the dessert--pay oop for extra drink for me. You can also do this to save kids credits too for them to use at the "extra" meal you have. My DD will eat my appy and dessert and I eat the entree. It depends on how hungry I am and how long it's been since DD ate. This holds down the expense of our last day buffet to one adult/one child OOP. Let me make this clear--PUT DOWN THE FLAMETHROWER. I use my DD(3) or DS(8) credits for them for that meal not for DH or myself unless we shared making the credit available an adult credit. :cheer2:
