Dining Plan and Tipping

Im sorry if this has been asked before but I was reading that on the meal plans tips would not be included in 2008. Is this true for this year as well? We are going in December and wanted to make sure I have all my ducks in a row. Thanks for your help

I believe that the changes to regular dining (no app on TS and no tips) do not take effect until Jan 08

That is correct. 18% tip for TS is still included with dining plan for 2007 along with the appetizer. New plan takes effect for all stays starting 1/1/08 or later.

I read in Birnbaum's that if you choose to leave a tip in addition to the gratuity included you can (2007 ddp). Is this correct? I have read so many places that the CMs won't accept tips at places like the BBB and others. Please let me know if they are accepted at the restaurants. I too would like to have all my ducks in a row

We tipped additional at all TS restaurants we went to in April and the extra tip was accepted.

Just curious, how did you tip extra??

With cash, or added on to OOP items receipt??

We didn't tip extra because there wasn't any place to write in an extra tip on the DDP receipts if we didn't have any OOP items.

We were able to easily tip Mama Sue at 50's Prime Time some extra because we ordered one entree OOP, and some Specialty Adult Drinks, so added the extra tip there.

We tipped cash at some places. When we had an extra's bill we tacked the tip onto there. (We had a lot of those with adult beverages as it was a just us Anniversary trip )

I hope you got a supervisor and had them correct the CM giving out false information.
