Dining Plan and Food&Wine Fest

Does anyone know if you can use your dining plan for any of the special dining options during the food and wine festival? I thought it might count as a Signature (x2) meal. If so, that could be a great deal, since some of those dinners are pretty pricey!

Don't think so--there is no reference to it in the Disney brochure. Too bad--I would give 3 table service credits for Party for the Senses!!!!

I asked the CM this question when I booked our trip. Her answer was basically "I don't know", but to be safe, she said we should only plan on the restaurants listed in the official brochure. We are thinking if they are included, it will be a plus, but we are not counting on it.

Agreed. I call Disney Dining on the day the food and wine bookings can
be made, and it feels just like calling for CRT breakfast. LOL!

I have to prioritize my F&W bookings so that I can get the ones I
want (hopefully!) right away. I don't think anyone would be able to
use the dining plan, anyway, since the Signature dinners would often
cost more per person than a dinner at California Grill (for example).

The cost of the food and wine pairings seems "doable", if they allow
trading in dining plan options. It's a good question.

Hmmmm...looks like the Jury is still somewhat out. Thanks for all of the replies and "educated guesses." Looks like we won't know until it actually happens..given this is the first year for the plan...

I'm going to try to call and see if I can answer my own question. I'll be sure to post if I get anything "Disney Definitive."
