Dining packages?

I see the packages as a nice value on the dining plan. We're planning on booking several during our next trip. Ones I have in mind are the Tusker House/ROL package, Tony's Town Square/FOF (like that you get appetizer) and Hollywood and Vine/Fantasmic. Character meals are a plus as we have two small children. Also not that interested in 2 credit meals unless it is really worth it. Any other packages I should be considering?

I'd drop Tony's. The appetizer is actually the best part of that meal, the rest could be ignored easily.

Tony's has mixed reviews. We've enjoyed our meals there, but I know others don't. We're getting the FoF package there in Aug.

Are you visiting at a time when they have the candlelight processional at Epcot? They have a package for that also.

Thanks guys. We've also heated mixed reviews when it comes to Tony's so we figured. We'd try it this time. I like spaghetti even when it's not great so won't be a loss.

CP is a good idea but don't think I would use 2 credits on it.

I didn't know that CP was 2 credits for all restaurants. We've only done the CP package once, in 2009. We ate at Biergarten for lunch, which, back then, was not worth using even 1 credit for, so we paid for it OOP, and saved our credits. I wonder if it was 2 credits back then, but never realized it.

If you got a package at a signature restaurant that is normally 2 credits, that might be worth it, especially with the included appetizer.
