Does Disney ever offer free dining offers at Disneyland like they do with Disneyworld?

Can you buy a hopper tickets that include dining (without hotel stay). I'm staying off property but would like to have a hopper ticket that includes dining. Any help is much appreciated!

Unfortunately no. They are two worlds apart in what they offer.

While DLR offers a dining plan it is nothing like the WDW version (which we tried for *free* last year) ~ I don't even bother with it, few people have anything good to say about it. To budget or prepay for meals I purchase Character Meal Vouchers and Disney Gift Cards.

If you book a package through WDTC (or costco travel or AAA, who both use WDTC) you can get dining included with the package.

But it's nothing like WDW. It's basically a set of vouchers with dollar amounts. If you spend under the voucher's amount, you get no change back. If you spend over the voucher's amount, you pay OOP for the difference.

It's mainly just a pre-pay plan. Which you can easily do on your own by setting the food budget aside and buy disney giftcards with that money (so it's not spent on other things).

i for one love the dinning package im the only one that seems to like it. It works well for my family. it isnt like the wdw one but I do like the ones they have at dl sure it could be better, but so could some the food. but its not bad for what you get an we go to character meals every day so it works for us.

if you do not want the full meal plan you can get just character vouchers from getawaytoday.com
if you dont care bout the other food you could just get the character meal vouchers an perhapses save money.
