We have the BB dining package for Sunday which is forecasting rain. I have a feeling both the parade and fireworks will be canceled, so I’m thinking of postponing our plans. Do you all agree???

Too bad they don’t "Rain Stamp" your pass (or something like that) so you can go back on a different night if you paid for the package but the show was canceled. We want to eat at BB, but I just as soon get the package as well.

I wish they could do something like that as well, let you come back another time, but when you think about it it really wouldn't work well. Imagine the crowds at the restaurants on the day AFTER the rain. There just wouldn't be the room to accommodate everyone.

I agree, and I wouldn't want to pay more for a dining package if the shows might not happen. I mean your paying extra to get nice seats right? Hopefully you can reschedule to another day, looks like Sunday is the only days its forecasted to rain.

Hope you still have lots of fun!

Just a heads up that while the atmosphere is nice, BB has the WORST food on property, as well as the WORST service on property.

I wouldn't agree with the above statement. While the food at BB isn't our favorite for the price (we much prefer NR or CCR), it is far from the worst food at DLR (don't know what really qualifies for that title since the food at DLR is pretty good as far as theme park food goes). And we've never had bad service there.

I understand why they don't rainstamp, as the reserved areas really aren't big enough to accommodate two nights' worth of people. That said, it's quite frustrating to book a package with the chance that you'll be out the extra money. I would think they would know by the time of your reservation that the parade would be cancelled. If that's the case, they should let you order off the regular menu for the regular prices. I'd call dining and confirm what the policy was.

And I didn't think the food or service was bad. Our waitress kept our drink glasses filled and was quite funny. And my filet was cooked perfectly and was delicious.

We've done both the WOC dining package at Carthay and the BB Fantasmic package and both times after we were seated the server asked if we were still interested in the package or if we would like to order off the regular menu.

Hmm, that's great to hear! But, is there a cancellation fee if you book this and cancel ahead or at the time at dinner if it's because of rain? I know they have cancellation fees at WDW but no experience yet with DL.

There is a $10 per person no-show fee for dining reservations at DL now too. I believe the policy is that you have to cancel the day before in order to avoid the fee. Same-day cancellations are subject to the penalty.

Hmm, so I wonder if you said you were not interested in the package anymore(because of rain or other reason), if they'd charge you the $10 each then to cancel the pkg and order off the regular menu.

Thanks for the heads up on the $10 no-show fee at DL, lontimedisneylurker!

We did the BB Fantasmic dinner in November. They didn't seem to even know we had a Fantasmic reservation and gave us the regular menu. We had to ask for the Fantasmic package menu. It didn't seem like it would be a big deal to switch from one to another after being seated. My guess is that if you show up for dinner, even if you switch to the regular menu instead of the package menu, that you wouldn't be charged the $10 cancellation fee. I have nothing to back that up though. I was worried about Fantasmic being cancelled but it was clear when we were there.

Oh, well that makes sense though, since you are still buying a dinner. And, I just remembered, when were in WDW at Minnie's Holiday Dine character meal, we asked to switch from the Fantasmic dinner package to just the regular dinner and they said it was no problem and we didn't get charged anything extra. Thanks, az4boys!
