Hi all! We've been to WDW before, but are planning our first trip to Disneyland with our 2yo. We will be there in late September over our anniversary. We've got a Character breakfast booked at Goofy's kitchen for one morning. However, I'd like to plan dinners for the other two nights. The first will be at DL on our anniversary, the second at DCA. It doesn't seem like there are as many sit-down dining options as WDW. We'd like to stay in the park we're visiting and considering we have a toddler with us, we don't need anything too fancy.

Any suggestions? Thanks a ton in advance!

I would recommend Cafe Orleans in Disneyland. The food is so yummy and the atmosphere is great. There aren't many sit down options at DCA just Wine Country Trattoria, which is decent, and Ariel's Grotto. Would you consider Downtown Disney? There are lots of great options there!

Maybe try the Blue Bayou at DL? Then you can say you did it. We like it. The food has either been really good or ... pretty good. We always have fun though. Call in and request waterside table, tell them first visit and anniversary. If you don't want to spend that much $, Cafe Orleans is great too. I don't think Carnation Cafe will be open for dinner in late September but you could doublecheck, I love eating there too. It's not fancy but it IS tasty.

DCA only has Ariel's and WCT. I like WCT- not a big fan of the lasagna. It has indoor and outdoor seating.

ETA: Don't count Storyteller's out! If you are going to be in DCA, it's only a very short walk to go into the hotel to eat dinner at storyteller's. Never done dinner there, just breakfast and lunch, but have had such good experiences I'd recommend it for dinner too.

If you want a really special anniversary dinner, hire a babysitter and get reservations for Napa Rose in the Grand Californian Hotel. True, it's not in the park, but the Disney hotels are so close by that you can pop over to one for dinner.

Other than that, I'd heartily recommend Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel and if I had to have a sit down park dinner I'd pick Cafe Orleans in New Orleans square.

I would recommend Blue Bayou waterside too. And we liked WCT. But as a WDW pro myself and occasional DL visitor, something I didn't realize at first is that everything is sooo close! You could easily walk to DTD and the Grand Californian for a bigger choice of restaurants. DTD is right outside the gates.

:welcome: to the boards. I realize many people are recommending Blue Bayou but both Blue Bayou and Pirates of the Caribbean will be closed in September for refurbishment. California Screaming will also be down for refurbishment. We are celebrating our Anniversary also and we have reservations at Carnation Cafe (with our four children). The other place in Downtown Disney that has good food is Ralph Brennans Jazz Kitchen. Hope you have a wonderful trip and anniversary. If you like we have a September check in thread and information regarding closures etc in post one found here: September Check in Thread

Maybe try the Blue Bayou at DL?

Blue Bayou will be closed late September, otherwise, that is a great option. Cafe Orleans is a good choice, as is Carnation Cafe on Main St.
And there are a few good options in the park hotels as others have mentioned.

Ooops! Sorry I suggested it, I wasn't remembering the closure. So, take it off the table completely.

If you want a "signature" Restaurant experience, that would leave you the Napa Rose. Never done it, but it IS VERY close, especially for your DCA night, remember there's a side entrance from the Grand to DCA park.
