Where would you suggest we dine in Epcot. Husband eats anything. Mom is picky...mostly likes American food but does like Italian. Two daughters (4 & 6) will eat most anything. Will be there a week beginning Oct. 14th so need to make ADR soon! Help! Garden Grill or Italy???

Any help much appreciated!

You sound just like me & my family. Our favorite meal at Epcot was at Le Cellier- it's the steakhouse in Canada. Kids' menus are all relatively the same so your girls should be content anywhere. I am picky also and only like "American" food and I thought the buffet style meats they brought to the table at Garden Grill looked strange enough I ordered off the kids' menu. It wasn't just normal meat, it had seasoning on it. I had heard such mixed reviews about Alfredo's in Italy I cancelled it. Le Cellier is the safest bet- good steak, appetizer, dessert, neat environment! That's my vote!

I fear you are too late for LeCellier for this October. This is one restaurant that often books right at the 90 day mark. I would suggest you have a back up plan in mind when you call, in case this is true. People do cancel, so certainly try, just have an alternative plan in mind.

maybe glance over the beirgarten menu also as they had lots of normal stuff like baked /roasted chicken along with german food so it may be an option

Even though you may not be able to get an ADR for Le Cellier, try dropping in around 11:30pm or 2:30pm. You may be able to get in as a walk-up. Le Cellier is "normal" food, hearty and recognizable. And the atmosphere isn't half bad either. :cool1:

LeCellier is my top pick. We ate ate Garden Grill last week and it was good too, nothing strange at all. The steak and pork were tender, potatoes were really good. I got the best Raspberry smoothie there that I've ever had.

I'm actually surprised no one has mentioned Teppanyaki.

It's the hibachi-style steakhouse in Japan. Lots of food, very good, and a bit of entertainment. The main menu is all basic stuff: Shrimp, Chicken, Scallops, Lobster, Beef. You can order sushi if you want, but that's really not the theme of this restaurant.

I am also a picky eater and don't really like to try anything new. I was convinced to go to the German restaurant and I loved it. I am a big chicken eater and they had lots of chicken dishes which were very good when we were there. I also enjoyed the salad bar and other selections. When we went the food was excellent. I highly recommend it.

With children that age, go to Garden Grill. They will really enjoy it. Stay out of Italy--- with or without children. I have tried it 3 times and was disappointed 3 times. I was hoping that on the first 2 bad experiences, they were having an "off night". Nope. 3 strikes and they're out!!!

We just came back from Disney on Sunday. Number one place to dine is Le Cellier. Le Cellier was booked solid for the next few weeks, however there are last minute cancellations if you are flexible.

We dined in Italy one night and it was excellant. I have one picky eater that enjoyed his meal completely.

We also tried Mexico. I loved the food however the picky eaters weren't impressed.

People raved about Germany but we did not have time to try it.

Best of luck

On our last trip, my husband and I ate at Alfredo's in Italy and loved it. This trip, we are eating at Le Cellier in addition to Alfredo's. I am excited about trying this steakhouse because so many people are raving about it. My father-in-law is extremely picky and I chose both Alfredo's and Le Cellier. Besides lasagna, Alfredo's also has spaghetti with or without meatballs. I am not sure how picky they are, but there is probably something on the menu they will eat.

We just returned yesterday and dined at Le Cellier and Alfredo's in Italy. both were excellent. I almost cancelled my ADR for italy after reading reviews on here but I am so glad I did not. Both the service and food was wonderful. The tables were not too close together as other people have stated and the food was some of the best Italian food I have ever had.
The entertainment was great too and the tiramusu was to die for :bounce: :bounce:
Le Cellier was fantastic as well-the best fillet I have ever had in my life-so tender and flavorful. I would try both if I were you. Have a great trip!!

We ate at 9 Dragons in China. it was some of the best chinese we have had in a while. the waitress didn't even charge us for the fried rice which wasn't included on meal plan.

Hopefully said:

Don't give up on Le Cellier without trying. I've had no trouble getting my ADR's there and made all calls well within the 90-day mark (we didn't know we were going yet at 90 days, so I've been pleasantly surprised by how easy it's been). I've switched them around several times, and got an 11:30 lunch for Oct. 14 when I called just the day before yesterday (Oct. 3).

I have had trouble getting a time for the PSB breakfast or lunch - finally went with a dinner at 4:30 on the 14th. Guess we will have plenty to eat that day! :goodvibes

We had excellent service at the Garden Grill and I think we felt that the food was as good as at Le Cellier. Le Cellier does have very fancy presentations, so if you like that try them.
