Dining for a group

Good Morning All! We have a family trip to WDW planned for 12/26-1/3. We wanted to do a couple of dinners together in the parks. Probably NYE in Epcot for sure. Any recommendations that would be good for a group of 12? I was thinking the hibachi place in Japan. Thoughts? Also do you make these ADRs on line or is there some one specific I need to call? TIA.

I would consider Biergarten - they have the oom-pah band providing wonderful entertainment on NYE, and they have tables for 12. I think the largest tables in Japan are for 8, so you'd be split up 8+4 or 6+6, etc. There are multiple threads on this forum and on the Dining Reservations sub-forum about making ADRs for large groups, but having booked for 9 for our family trip last Christmas, I'd personally just call the WDW-DINE number (407-939-3463) as early as possible the day your booking window opens - although I just searched the Dining website for a party of 12 on Dec. 5 (60 days from today), and several options popped up, so maybe try online at 6:00 AM Eastern time when your window opens, then call at 7:00 AM if you can't get what you need!

Just keep In mind that the hibachi place (Teppan Edo) has no windows which means no NYE firework viewing if that’s important to you.

VN is a possibility with large or nearby tables; of course Biergarten.
I would think Spice Table seating on the outdoor patio is doable and the food is delicious as well.

I’d grit my teeth and call in to make my ADRs for your time visiting and amt of guests. Find something to do as you wait on hold va speakerphone.

You have a lot of possibilities at Disney Springs and can even make your reservations now via opentable.com but you want to make a decision fast since the window is already open and filling up. GL and have fun.
