I need to pick between Shula's and Yachtsman Steakhouse for a Monday evening. Any favorites out there? Why? Whats the biggest difference between these two Steakhouses??

Thanks!!

M

We have dined at both, several times for dinner.

Both were excellent, but if I were to ask DS & DH, I'm sure they would both say "Shula's was better". But really, you can't go wrong with either one.

* Biggest difference for us was...Shula's is not on the dining plan, so we just pay OOP there.

Of course I pick the other:)
Eaten at both, really really like the Yachtsman. We have eaten there
several times. The steaks were excellent and we never felt rushed
or crowded. At shula's we were seated at this tiny table, no room for
our side dishes, a large table next to us got all the attention. Maybe
just a bad night but we never went back. My DH is a big big fan of Ruth
Chris's and he said the steaks weren't as good. I did think the decor of
Shula's was more glitzy the Yachtsman.
We gave the Shula's in Miami a chance too and did not care for the meal
but it was NYE so I am sure the kitchen was slammed.

Shula's cooked one of the best steaks I've ever had. Yachtsman was nice, and I enjoyed my total meal there, but if you're specifically looking for a great steak, Shula's is better.

And here's another vote for the Yachtsman - we had a really nice meal here - very good steaks, lovely atmosphere, no rushing, just very nice and relaxing - with good food.

I have to add though, that we've not tried Shula's - so, I can't compare the two for you!!

I think either one would be great!!! :goodvibes

The biggest differences:

Shula's: larger steaks. more choices. darker restaurant with that steakhouse feel. based on the menus on Dis, lower prices. I found the service a little slower in a good way. Not really kid friendly.

Yachtsman: brighter restaurant. they have nice sauces to accompany the steaks. On the dining plan.

I prefer Shula's by far.

haven't eaten at Shula's (well, actually have eaten at one in a different city but not the one in Disney area)

However, we just ate at Yachtsman Steakhouse in September and we were seriously underwhelmed with the place. Good escargot appetizer & good desserts...but the steaks were just average. We've had better steaks at less expensive Disney restaurants. Would not recommend Yachtsman at all.
