Dining Decisions

I'm trying to make the decision for my last ADR for our Dec trip (yes, I realize I have time to decide this but I'm on a roll and...:)). It'll be me, DH and our 2 daughters (9 & 6). Here's what we're planning so far:

Le Cellier CP
Crystal Palace breakfast
Donald's Safari Breakfast
Princess Breakfast in Epcot
Mama Melrose Fantasmic package

I'm torn between either doing CRT for dinner or Cali Grill. We've been to CRT for lunch last year and while my girls loved it we are doing the Princess breakfast (which we also did last year). I'd like to do Cali Grill for the food and the fireworks but I'm worried that the girls would probably prefer dinner at the Castle (although my husband wasn't exactly impressed with the lunch we had there). Any suggestions? Opinions?

So far, DH has been no help on this. He just looks at me and says we have until June to decide. He definitely doesn't understand.

Thanks!
Kira

I'd say try Cali Grill. It is our favorite at the world! Yes, I understand the girls will probably miss the castle meal but if you plan it right, you can eat during Wishes and the view is spectacular. I think the girls might like seeing them from the restuarant. What kind of eaters are they?

I heard Cali Grill is great but my vote is for O'Hana. My family passed on this restaurant for years until 3 years ago, now its our favorite. Even the kids love it, as last year we timed it so we could view the fireworks from the restaurant, so beautiful.:thumbsup2

I'd say they're adventerous but picky. That helps huh? They know what they don't like and refuse flat out to eat it but they're willing to try something new at least once. Usually. My oldest fell in love with the mussels at Mama Melrose last year. Wouldn't have expected her to love them but she did. I think her opinion was helped along by my husband and my friend who went with us...they were both going into fits over how good those mussels were so she decided she just had to know what they were all spun up over.

I think they'd enjoy the food at Cali Grill. Getting them to sit still long enough to enjoy the experience is maybe the problem. Even with the promise of fireworks at the end of the meal...we're at Disney and they'll see fireworks almost every night.

I've looked at Ohana. My problem is I don't think I'd like the food there. In a family of adventerous eaters, I'm really the picky one.

Thanks for the advice though! It really helps to get other opinions. I'm picking between a known and unknown and I think that's throwing off my decision a little.
