Dining credits based on days or nights??

Quick question...

I've seen on various threads that the dining plan is based on number of days. I assumed this was correct and based my ADRs on that.
Today, I was surfing through the "Moms Panel" questions on disney website and the Disney expert said that the dining plan credits are based on number of nights (question posted 3/27 under "budget travel")

Example: I'm staying 6 days, 5 nights. Will my credits be calculated on 5 or 6???

It's based on the number of nights, not days.

Your credits will be based on 5 nights, but they will be good from the moment you check into your resort until 11:59 PM on the day you check out.

Credit amounts are ALWAYS calculated according to how many nights you stay. I think people often say "days" because it's easier to say; you don't eat during the night. Your credit allocation will be based on 5 nights, not 6 days.
