ding?

I have finally downloaded ding now how does it work? I have a southwest icon on my desktop but when I click on it I go to the regular site. I haven't gotten a ding yet but when I do will I be rerouted somewhere else to see these specials? I am so confused!!!

When a ding appears, the icon on your task bar (lower right hand side next to the computer time) will change so that it indicates that there's a "message," much like e-mail alerts work. When that happens, you click on it and it'll direct you to a link for ding fares.
