There is an awesome Ding fare from Indy to Orlando--prices show $49 one way but is cheaper!! I could book 2 tickets for $217 after taxes !!! This is Sept. 1-Oct. 28th travel!!!

So DING! fares are actually cheaper than internet specials shown on the southwest.com site? When you get a DING! offer, how much time do you usually have to book before the offer expires?

It usually says a time. This offer is until 7:00 Pm CDT tonight. But you usually want to book fast to ensure you get the times you want!!

I assume they are cheaper! I booked 5 adult roundtrip tickets to go in August for a total after taxed of $410!!!

I got the best Ding fare yesterday, Corpus Christi to Orlando $64.00
I couldn't believe it! I booked it for Sept 22-26 , DD has a long weekend
holiday at school. Haven't told the family yet, but boy am I excited!
There is never good specials from my corner of the world, I jumped at
$64.00! Now the big choice where to stay, Wilderness Lodge or Coronado.

I would jump for WL!!!! But I love the whole theming that I've seen!!! I just cant swing 2 rooms for a family my size and we def. want a separate room from our crazy 3!!!!

Congrats on your excellent fare!!! :goodvibes

Thanks, I think I am going to , its only about $275.00 more.
Will we be ok with a standard view? We usually stay at AKL and
get the Savanah view but this kind of a quickie budget trip and
thats why I was considering a moderate. We are doing the dinning
plan too so I know up front everythings paid for basicly.
Can't wait

just did a ding trial for our dates out of IND ant it came up with a final price of 82$ RT....that is a great price....it is approximately 60% off

almost as good as the 75 rate last january that SW was offering

it seems that the ding fares must be related to their load factors since they only show "MCO fares" for two cities on this particular ding ( Indianapolis and Jackson )

just another reason to keep checking both ding and SWA

I just got (2) roundtrip tickets on Ding from Indy to Orlando for $164.22. I LOVE Ding.

I heart Ding :teeth:

I'm trying to decide whether or not to rebook my existing Ding fare to an earlier time....LOL....I wonder if it will go any lower than the $410.55 I have booked for 5 of us...

I just got Ding'd a couple of days ago for HOU to MCO $72. Which is a good rate from Hou. The best rate I ever got was in the $60's but it wasnt a DING.
The cut off times vary on each DING you get . Be sure to check the cut off times if you arent getting your ticket right then.

I saw this DING fare when I got home from work. I called a friend of mine who is going to WDW in Sept. They already got their tix, $140 RT, which is really good. He groaned when I told him that the DING fare was $82.11 with taxes. I hope I can snag one of these great fares for our next trip.

That is great! We want to fly from Indy to MCO, but not until March, but I am glad to see that Orlando comes up for Indy. Maybe it will happen for us too! Congrats!

thanks OP! :cheer2:

I always thought the email offers were way better than DING ones, so I checked out your post just to see what everyone was saying.

Well, I had just booked my flight a few days ago when the sale ending Sept 29th came out. I got $39 going to WDW and regular fare coming home.

But TODAY the ding fare gave me :flower: $34 BOTH WAYS!!!! :flower: For a round-trip total of $85 per person for all 4 of us.

You just SAVED ME $214 MORE DOLLARS!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

DING is GREAT!!! I downloaded it to my computer, a bit skeptical. But then the other day, I saw fares from Reno to Orlando for $200 roundtrip!!!! :Pinkbounc That's at least $100 cheaper than the cheapest fare I've seen yet. So for my family of 4, that would save me a total of about $400. The only problem.....it's for travel through October and we aren't heading out until April 2006 :guilty:

I'm hoping that I will find a similar fare for the travel dates I need. I'm really glad I downloaded DING and will be keeping an eye on it. Heck, with airfare that cheap, we could take more than one trip a year.

How long did it take DING to install on your computer? It's taking a long time to "verify" my installation ID.

This is the second time I've tried - same result both times. We're going on 7 minutes for the verification right now.

I'm still waiting on them to release December dates, which should be anytime now. I saw that ding yesterday and out of curiosity plugged in some dates for my family of four. Came out to be $328.44! I really hope to get the same kind of rates in Dec....

I tried over and over to load Ding on my computer and it wouldn't complete the download. I have an updated Norton security on my computer with a firewall. It took my brilliant computer knowledgeable brother a short time to find a way to allow Ding to get past my security. Most security programs have a place in them where you can ask not to block sites you want.

Ding has a help spot you can click on and it gives you information on how to get it downloaded.

I'm waiting for this November dates. So close and still so far away. :(

I would love to do these but the closest airport to me that sw flies out of is 3 hours away in Chicago or Detroit. :(

Please help- this is the first I've heard of this

How do I get it. I am usually always online at work- what time of day do they usually come?

Just go to www.southwest.com. You will see a link on there to download Ding. The Ding specials come out several times a day and they usually have a time limit on each one, such as only good until 2pm.

You can get some great deals with them if where and when you want to fly to is on their list.
