Ding experts? San Jose, CA to Orange County, CA?

We're doing a two-part trip to starting in Seattle and ending in Anaheim in mid-September, and I'm wondering if anyone knows the "traditional" Ding rates going from San Jose to SNA airport?

Or maybe if anyone knows if Oakland would be better to fly from (today I saw a $36 fare from Oakland but we have a hotel booked RIGHT next to SJ airport for the purposes of my HS reunion, and so I'd prefer to stick with SJ) and I should give up my cheapie SJ dreams?
