DILEMMA 2 days or 3?

We are doing a trip to Paris before our med cruise. We will head straight to Disneyland first and stay at the Explorer's for three nights and then head to Paris for a week.

Dilemma is this...on our first day we will be too tired even though we arrive at 8:30 in the morning as it will be 11:30 pm PST and I don't think we will be up to it so I don't want to waste our day. We have two full days and then the day we leave, should we go to Paris early and spend the day there? (although I am getting a 6 day citipass and this will not be one of the days), or do we spend the day in Disneyland Paris(leaving our luggage in storage) and then getting picked up later in the day.

My two younger children want the extra day in DLP, but by oldest son says we've been to DL in California 6 times, WDW 5 times so 2 days will be enough and we should maximize our time in Paris. My younger children 11 and 14, say that DLP is a unique experience in itself and that we shouldn't rush through it and that we will be jetlagged the first two days so we need a third (or even part of a third).

I see both their points but can't decide! We are going at the beginning of July on a Monday and Tuesday, so I don't know what the crowds will be like.

AAAA. Experienced Disers, what do you suggest?

I would go with three days at DLP, as you said that will give you time to get over your jet lag (if you suffer from it) and would give you enough time to fully enjoy the two parks without having to rush around.

Hi slg, we are in a similar situation. I am going to Paris, Vienna then Barcelona before my Med Cruise in August. We are arriving on the Monday for 2 nights/3 days at Sequoia Lodge. However, I only stay at Paris for 2 days/3 nights since it's must to visit Vienna for my DD. I personally think I need at least 3 days at DLP to appreciate the Disney Magic: rides, entertainment, shows, and shops. I also have been to WDW and DLR a few times. That's why I would like to spend the time to experience the differences at DLP. I will be getting a private transfer from SL to the Paris hotel after dinner at California Grill to end our DLP adventure on the Wednesday. I am not sure when I will visit DLP again.

I would actually go with paris for day 3 my reasons been

A) 2 full days is plenty with older kids esp with late opening hours in the summer.
B) you have done disney parks loads already
C) your jetlag shouldnt be too bad as your flying ahead of time, i find when you fly back in time is when jetlag really sets in (am i makeing sense).
When you land sunday morn try and stay up as long as possible even if you can make it to 7pm , you should be fine next morning.
D) there is only 1 paris so id make as much time as you can to spend there.

I would spend the extra day at DLP and arrange a transfer for the evening. There are lockers at the Explorers where you can store your luggage. If you'd only been having a couple of days in Paris I'd have said the opposite, to spend the extra day there, but as you've got a week in Paris I think you should spend the extra time at DLP.

If you are staying offsite, you should consider to buy at least one Annual Passport instead of tickets. Or it could even be cost effective an AP for everyone. The AP will be around the same cost and you'll have all the discounts.
Having the AP you could go into the park also the first day, maybe just for dinner and see Dreams.

I'd have the extra day in DLRP. Will give you time to get used to the time difference and take things at your own speed.

6 days in Paris is plenty.

Six days is more than enough time to see the sights in and around Paris. You will even have time to do a day trip to London.
