I have a Kodak 3.1 MP camera that is a few years old. When I compare my pics to other people's pictures they don't seem as sharp and clear :(. I know for the same price I paid for mine years ago I can probably get a 6MP one now. I'm not sure if I can afford to buy a camera right now, but figured I'd ask anyways. Any recs for a small, pocket size digital that takes great pics and only cost a few hundred bucks?

I really like my Kodak LS753. It has 5 megapixels, 2.8 optical zoom, and can fit in my jeans pocket. I found mine at Sam's Club for $299. Most places I saw it at were around $350. It is part of the easy share system, and would use the same SD chips as your old camera, but not the same battery.

one question: Have you check the current picture quality setting on your camera? Were you comparing pictures that were taken at the same quality setting?

Anyways, whatever camera you take make sure you have alot of 'storage', on my last WDW trip I filled up three 128 meg cards. Also bring the tv adapter plug so that at night you can go thru the days events and delete (thus gaining more room) the pictures you don't want.....good luck

First, check the quality settings. A 3.1 mp camera is fine if you don't plan on blowing up any pix beyond 4x6. If your zoom (if you have one) is digital rather than optical, try not to use the zoom feature as often. Last, clean the lense(s) with a cloth and fluid meant just for that purpose. Take new pictures and compare!

Good luck!

You should be fine with your current camera.

I used to have a 3.1 mp camera which produced excellent 8x10 enlargements. The "trick" is to set the quality setting to a high level. Since higher quality photos take up more room...just buy a larger card...BEFORE you go to WDW. I just got back and was shocked at the price of memory cards in the park.

I traveled witth a one gig card ( among others)...and never needed the other cards.

I've been running around with a 2mp digital camera for the last 2 years and my pics have come out just fine. I think you may have set a really low resolution to get in more pictures in your internal memory or small memory card.

The best thing to do is check the resolution like everyone here said, and to buy some bigger memory cards.
