I bought an Olympus Camedia C4000 a while back and it has been great. I have been printing the pictures out at Sams Club without any problems. I also have been loading the pictures into my software program that came with the camera. My question is in regards to have them put on a CD. Why should you do this and how can you use it? Can you play the CD from your DVD player like a slide show on your TV? Also, I have an older computer but can you put your pictures onto a CD yourself with a CD burner? Hope I don't sound REALLY stupid and I hope someone can help. Thanks!

I'm not in to digital photography yet but I have saved scanned photos on a CD that I burned. I chose to store my Disney pictures on a CD rather than a floppy disk becuase I have have problems with some floppies going bad.

We have a new PC and WinXP. Other than making sure the files saved to the CD I haven't really looked at the options for viewing them, like slide shows, etc.

Yes you can and should burn them to a CD. You should save them to a CD before doing anything else with them to preserve them. (for more of my not very humble opinions on the matter click here see the section called: JPG Warning! Danger Will Robinson!)

Yes you can burn a disk that will play in most newer DVD players but you will need software that burns the correct format.
