For all you digital camera experts out there, how much memory do you actually use at WDW? I love taking pictures, we will be at WDW for 7 days, I have a HP Photosmart camera, and 2 CompactFlash Media card thingies one is 128 MB, the other is 256 MB. I have a 35mm camera and lots of film also just in case I need it.

Edited to say: I want to use the best quality option on my camera because the pictures look better but, I know this uses up more memory.

That really depends on how many pictures you'll be taking and at what resolution (megapixel) you'll be taking them in.

I usually take an average of 150-200 pictures per day - for 9 day trip that's almost 1800 shots. On my 3mp camera, on the highest setting, a 256mb only holds 54 pictures - I usually put it on the setting that lets me have 158 pics per card, which is why I have to bring a laptop with me otherwise I'm looking at lugging at least 10 256mb memory cards.

I also take about 150-200 shots a day. I just bought a 1 gig card for my new 5 megapixel camera and I am bringing my laptop also.
I understand that Disney does have a photo service now that will download your card and print the photo's for you. I don't know how much $$ they are cleaning you out for. They also sell memory cards if you feel you really just want to get another card.

You can stretch your cards by being vigilant about deleting the miss shots (the blurries, the thumbs, the nobody was smiling pics)
I have gained as much as 20-30 pics back on a card by being choosy when I start running out of room on the card.

You do not need your settings set at the highest to get great prints. Also check what size they are (pc, tv, etc) I have a 4mp camera and I have it on pc settings on normal grade and can fir about 1000 pics on my 256 card. I print these regularly (at my local Best Buy) and they come out great! If you have any questions feel free to PM me about anything I worked selling digital cameras and home electronics for 3 years!
