I'm booking a DCL 4 night land / 3 day cruise, and have a quote from Dreams Unlimited and All Seasons. Both are for the same dates at the same hotel.

DU has me in room 7014 - total cost of trip (with flights) $5073
AllSeasons has me in room 6022 - total cost $4797

What's the diff in rooms, and is there any thing that might be different in these quotes, such as the room at Port Orleans Riverside. Everything else (dates and flights) is the same.

Cheers

David

You might check to see if the DU one has either trip insurance or transfers included and allseasons doesn't. Just a guess.

7014 and 6022 are both category 8. 7014 is on deck 7, and 6022 is on deck 6, but should otherwise be the same. Deck 7 is higher. DCL considers deck 7 to be a more desirable location in terms of how Deluxe Verandah Staterooms (Categories 5 and 6) are priced, but they don't make a price/category distinction when it comes to Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms (Category 8).

Are you subtracting any shipboard credit and/or rebate that DU is offering to determine the net price?

Do both quotes include port charges?

Do both quotes include air and ground transfers?

Does neither quote include insurance?

You might also want to price the land and sea portion of you trip separately. Sometimes you can get room only rates at WDW much cheaper by booking the reservation separately. There are often codes at www.mousesavers.com that give some substantial discounts on room only rates at WDW. You can still keep the same flights, but you may find you can save a few hundred by booking room apart from cruise.

If you do stay with the land/sea package....remember, the land portion does not include meals at WDW so I always feel it is more value to book 3 days at WDW and 4 days on the ship....you get an extra day of meal included this way!!! We all know 2 or 3 meals for the day for a family at WDW can be quite costly!

Do consider booking these two parts of your trip seperately. That is the BIGGEST money saving tip I ever got from these boards! The first time we sailed, I let Disney plan everything for us and just paid whatever the rate was given to us:rolleyes: .

Now, I book my own air, rent a car instead of using the DCL bus and absolutely book our own visit to WDW!

Just give it some thought before you decide. I am SO glad these boards convinced me to book individual parts myself! We have save a bundle over the past 4 years since we have been doing that!

Yes the package may include admission for the parks the day of the cruise , that will not be used.... as u will be getting ready to go to the port.. for your cruise....... if u book on your own u can elimanate that.... also Transportation may cost u less if u use a town car service.... than Disney bus And a far better experience
in my opinion..... Keep readding these boards we will get that price down....... lol peter

Also the air u can do better than what they r charging and will probably be a better flight.....
