Differences between the Dream and Fantasy?

I'm looking at taking my girls on the Dream in spring of 2020, they will both be 18 and want to experience the adult side minus the drinking. We have been on all but the Dream. I know they are sister ship but are there any differences besides Venellopes, Royal Palace and Beauty and the Beast show? Is Detective Agency any different then the Fantasy?

The theming of the two ships is similar. The Dream does have all 3 MDA games. Fantasy has a Tiffany's store now, that the Dream does not. They might enjoy activities with the 1820 society.

Physically you've listed a lot of the differences. The vibe is different too. With shorter cruises the pace on the Dream can be a little faster, in my opinion. You don't settle in with sea days, etc. the way you do on the Fantasy with its week-long itineraries. I also find you don't get to know your stateroom hosts, dining team, etc. as well. So, not physical differences as much as differences in how you settle in.

As a for instance, on the Fantasy, as you get later in the week, the MDA gets a little less hectic as people do it and are done. On the Dream, it can always be busy as there is less time on the cruise but the same number -ish of people who want to do it.

Still lovely, just different. And more than just physical differences.

Enjoy!

The adult club area is different. The layouts are similar between the two ships - there is a champagne bar, a sports bar, a dance club, etc. - but they have different themes. Respectively, Pink vs. Ooh-La-La; Pub 687 vs. O'Gills, Evolution vs. The Tube, etc.

My girls want to explore the adult areas of the ship, they were kind of bored in the Vibe (almost 17 and 18) and MDA they have done 2x on the Fantasy. They want Palo brunch, Rainforest Room and adult games and shows.

I'm sure you probably know this, but... The do both have to be 18 to do those things listed..."almost" doesn't count if the 17 year old has not yet turned 18.

Just a heads up that sometimes the comedians and/or club hosts will comment on 18 year old adults being in the adult area.

I agree with this! Very much so, IMO.

We haven’t done a short cruise since they were in the club on the Wonder. The Vibe will have no impact and MDA, my girls won’t do if it is the same scenarios. We got to know our wait staff very well on Magic and Fantasy x2 not so much our stateroom host this time..that I will miss. Just was wondering if there are any not to miss differences on the Dream from the Fantasy. Thank you for the insight

They will be 18 and 19 when we go in 2020. They both sat in the Cove pool during the first dinner seating for 1hr with me, nobody said anything but understand if something gets said
