Difference in crowds between this week and next week?

I have been watching wait times and FP return times on the app this week and OH MY! I knew it was going to be crowded but... In any case we arrive next Wednesday (1/2/19) through Sunday. Are crowds typically the same this week and next? I am hoping at least some people go back to work next week and maybe it will not be quite as brutal, but that may be wishful thinking. I know local schools will still be out next week, which doesn't bode well.

We will use MP and have a plan and go early, but I am just hoping it is a little less bad than this week!

Sunday will probably be the busiest day in that bunch since APs start having blockout lifts and it’s the last day for holiday stuff at Disneyland. But typically crowds are a bit lighter next week compared to this week.

Thank you Dina444444! That gives me a little hope! We won't be in the parks Sunday because that is our departure day, and I did see the APs open back up somewhat that day, so that's probably good for us not to be there. We will just be having our usual beignets from the Jazz Kitchen and sadly making our way to the airport!

I was wondering the same thing! We are going same dates, and I am getting a little worried. I know it is busy, but I little nervous! We frequent Disneyland , and have not seen wait times, this long!! We are going to have the max pass, too
