What's the difference between AK Villas Jambo House and Kidani Village? How close are they to each other? We have decided to not do the waterparks this trip so I was trying to stay at a resort that had a waterslide. Does only one of these have a waterslide? If they each have their own pools can we use both? We are staying through DVC, not sure if that makes a difference or not...

Kidani doesn't have a quick service. Kidani has a great kids play area at the pool but I can't remember if they have a slide at the main pool. Jambo does have a slide. You can use both pools when staying at either. They aren't far apart, maybe a 10 minute walk or you can catch a bus to the other resort

Kidani pool has a slide and the villas have a 2nd bathroom (I believe Jambo villas only have one bathroom).

Jambo has its own pool, but I can't recall if there was a slide. Jambo also has a QS restaurant.

They are a few minutes walk from each other, or you can take the bus or a shuttle van that runs exclusively between Kidani and Jambo. I'm not sure if using both pools is allowed. We LOVED Kidani, but missed having a QS in the same building.

we have dvc points at akl and bought before kidani was built. I do believe that there is an additional bathroom in jambo too. We have stayed in both and will never do kidani again. they both have pools with slides and kidani also has a great kids area.

We rarely do quick service so that was not really a problem for us. Our biggest issue with kidani was how far out the rooms are from the elevators. We are healthy 30 year olds who are in pretty good shape and have a 3 year old (2 years old when we stayed there) and we were looking at each other down the hallway walk like.....okay.....seriously? when does this stop!

Jambo does not have an additional bathroom, just Kidani. So a 1 bedroom has 1 bath at Jambo, 2 at Kidani. 2 bedrooms have 2 baths at Jambo, 3 baths at Kidani. Also, the 1 and 2 bedrooms are larger at Kidani and feature a larger master bathroom with a separate jet tub & shower, Jambo has a combo jet tub/shower in the master. Studios are about the same size in each, although the bathroom layout is different, I would actually prefer Jambo for a studio.

Kidani is the first bus stop of the two so no standing if the bus is full.

Pool hopping is allowed between the two resorts.

Jambo is bustling with a grand lobby and store, while Kidani is more laid back with a quaint lobby and store. We don't sit in a lobby when we are on vacation so that hasn't made a difference for us.

Personally, we prefer the savannah views at Kidani. We also prefer the rooms, pool, slide (longest on property if I'm correct) and water play area at Kidani.

Though Kidani does not have quick service, it is an easy walk, bus ride, or shuttle ride to Jambo. We enjoy the walk and enjoy a "visit" to Jambo.

All two bedroom villas at JH are lock offs, none are dedicated. KV has both types.
