Great job again! :thumbsup2 Which one should we go with or are there others with some ideas?

Me too...but I can't resist Mickey too. :worship: Would you mind trying one with Mickey and our official name? If it's not too much. Did you see any other graphics that they have in their shared files? I liked these cuz their piraty...piratie...piratiey...??? I have a list of plates and other graphics I'll have them do when it gets closer to the cruise. Almost 10 months away. :woohoo: :woohoo: But I bet the next 2 months will fly by with school out and summer activities. Today was our last day of school.  I'm off work for the next 10 weeks!!! :cheer2: : :beach: party:

I wish DCL would hurry and give us some more info on port adventures and I really would love to know what's happenin' on our sea days too.

Has anyone else been buying Disney gift cards for some more OBC? DH (Danny) gets a couple next week for Father's Day. They will get some more at Christmas and our birthday's just before the cruise. I hope to buffer that end of the trip bill that we all sooo LOVE. :rolleyes1 At least I get an extra $1 for every $100 dollars on the Disney Visa. Woo-Hoo!

Any how...can you tell I'm excited to be out of school?

True Romance...when you get back we need a full report of the fun your having. Have a great & safe trip. :thumbsup2

KSF on 7nt MR thru March 20th...guess there not selling too well. :confused3 Wish they would add it to ours too. :goodvibes

I saw that KSF offer too - let's keep our fingers crossed that they decide to do that for the April cruises too! And I'll see if I can come up with another design; Mickey is my favorite too.

I haven't been buying any gift cards, but I've been working hard at earning those Disney Visa Reward points! That's my new justification for buying stuff: I know I don't really need this, but it'll earn points for our cruise! :rotfl:

Enjoy your summer break!

I found this in Milliepie's shared folder. For some reason it doesn't show the ports in the right order (it's the map that's on the DCL site - you'd think they'd have gotten it right :confused3) but it's still pretty cool how Milliepie put it in the Mickey ears. Not sure I can think of anything fun to do with it, but it's a nice design on it's own. I also found a couple of backgrounds I'll play with over the weekend.

Ohhh Yeah! I like that one too...hadn't seen it in her files. Keep us posted if you have any new ideas. Wish I could do it. ;)

I have been working on my Disney Visa for about 3 yrs. I only got this card for the few perks and for OBC. I'd rather use my CC that gives me $2 for every $1 I spend. I use the Disney Visa to book for the $50 OBC and the TA for more and she did it on-line for more. We like to do spa treatments so a lot of OBC is very important to us. On our 15nt Hawaiian Circle cruise we had enough OBC to carry us through most all the cruise. :woohoo: RCCL's CC gives you great perks including OBC and if you own their stock you get OBC. Wish DCL gave some more perks and OBC for owning stock too. :confused3

We are booked on the 10 dayer also. We are outside of Sac. I live in Granite Bay, it's right near Roseville and Folsom. Where are you located? Haven't Disney cruised since Christmas 2006. My children are a girl 8 years old, and my son will be 5 on this cruise. Last time we went he was just a baby!

I know it's really early (but I think all of us here have already proved we're slightly crazy over-planners :rotfl2:) but I wanted to let you all know about a good deal I found for a room at the Doubletree in San Pedro. I just booked the AAA rate for April 16 for $111.20 plus tax. Since they will let us park the car for free for 10 days and parking at the port is $12/day, we are basically spending the night for free! :cool1:

Doubletree and Crowne Plaza are the 2 hotels closest to the pier that let you park at the hotel and shuttle to the pier; both get good reviews on Cruise Critic and TripAdvisor. (Actually I think there's a Vagabond Inn too, but it gets bad reviews.) We've stayed at the Crowne Plaza twice before and liked it, but they only allow parking at the hotel if you buy their "Park and Cruise" package, which has cost us $179-$199 (it does include 2 free breakfast buffets, but the food wasn't so great). The Doubletree offers "Park and Cruise" packages too, but they let you park there for free during the cruise even if you don't buy the package.

Just FYI if you are thinking about driving in a day early!

Dany

Thank you for sharing!! I was wondering if any of the hotels offered this.

Oh my goodness!! My daughter goes to Oakhills Elementary. They just closed Eureka this year. Did you live in Loomis? A part of Loomis became Granite Bay, but Loomis also does exist. Small world. Sounds like we have lots of girls going!!

Wow.. Loomis is now Granite bay?. No grew up off Douglas blvd, just down from Auburn-Folsom BLvd. (close to where the branch library is located). We use to have free run of the woods out there. Our friends owned all the old Sheep Property between Rocky Ridge and Sierra College blvd which I believe is named after them Johnson Range. BTW... when my parent bought their home out there, Douglas blvd was named Rocky Ridge Road.

Welcome Deseriemilburn!!! We live close and we have the same age kids. Maybe we can get them together for a playdate sometime. Would be fun to know other kids before the trip. I will respond to your PM and maybe we can work something out this summer.

Just got back from our Carlsbad/Anaheim trip. It was kinda a whirlwind and we jammed a lot into 6 days. We did 2 days at Legoland, since we were staying across the street. Then went to Anaheim for a night, stayed at the HoJo Anaheim--fantastic place. Great pirate themed water play area and cheap rooms if you can get the Entertainment rate. DL and DCA were fun but exhausting. We upgraded our GADGAD promo tickets to include both parks. I am kinda a fanatic and tried to do everything in both parks in one day. We actually got a lot done with the 3 kids. My soon to be 5 year old (his birthday is this Thursday the 17th) finally reached 40" so he was able to ride Space Mt, Big Thunder, Soaring over CA, Star Tours--all the fun ones. He is a speed demon and loved them. I then waited 3 hours for Fantasmic, had to get front row seats. My 2 year old was exhausted and fell asleep in my arms during the fireworks. I am surprised at how much we did, and the parks were relatively crowded.

My husband is of course exhausted from DL. I told him the cruise is a totally different experience and he will love it. I told him it has all the magic of Disney, but it actually feels like a vacation and you are not exhausted by the end of the day. He hopes to be pleasantly surprised. I am the driving force behind the cruise, he is just going because I booked it and am making him go. I make all the travel arrangements and he just has to go along :goodvibes

So I was so excited when I saw the kids sail free promo, and then I saw it only went through March. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that they add if for our sailing. If anyone notices that it gets added, please post here ASAP. However not sure if it would help us too much. Since we are a family of 5, we have 2 rooms (10A's). To take advantage of the promotion we would have to change to Cat. 4. Those are pretty pricey. I could at least price it out both ways and get an idea. I think if the 10 day is not selling well, they would definitely add it.

I love all the logos, very talented. I really like the 1st two.

This is too funny! I live right near where you used to live. I live off of Joe Rodgers Road, across from the green farmhouse; which is now a art school. The library is new. My mom and grandparents lived in Lake View Hills since the 50's, so I remember as a child driving down the long road of Douglas;which was a two lane road with cows and sheep. Johnson Ranch is a neighborhood community with an upscale (can't afford it) tennis/ health gym. I remember Jumbo supermarket was the only thing on Auburn Folsom! I teach at Granite Bay High School, and tell all the kids that Granite Bay used to a rural area. I went to Oakmont High School. Weirdly enough, Granite Bay is now very upper class, there are mansions everywhere. We just lucked out and made a lot of money off our previous homes to afford in the area, but we also bought super high, so we are stuck in our home for awhile. Which bumms me to no end because it takes us so much longer now to afford a Disney cruise!! Argh!! Our last one was Christmas 2006!! And I've been itching to go on one again ever since!!! I've talked three families in the past to go on them, so that was kind of a happy thing for me, but jealous at the same time!! (-: I like where we live, we have half an acre and ducks and geese fly over our house and in our pool all the time. I've been told by people that our house used to have lots of land until it was broken into smaller 1/2 acre lots. I was told my house was a farmhouse, but they added onto it. When did you move from Granite Bay?

Hi Kristi,

So, how did you manage going on a Disney Cruise without taking your DH? My husband loved the last Disney cruise we were on. He would tell everyone we met, that that was the only way to cruise with your family. He had the best time. He talked one of his very macho guys and his new bride to go on their honeymoon on the DCL and they did! They loved it! They got one of the top suites; which we never could afford, especially with children. I see you have to buy two rooms? Hopefully they are connected. Anyway, I was thinking that would be neat to have the kids meet ahead of time just so the kids feel they will know at least one other person that isn't family on the cruise. My daughter Londyn, is a social butterfly and very personable. She loves to make new friends. Hopefully, we can set something up in the future.

We will be joining you on this one! We are so very excited to finally find dates where school is not an issue and either are our dd's other actvities!

It will be DH and I, along with our 2 dd's, 9 & 5. We will also be bringing grandma along too.

We did the Mex Riv cruise in 2008 and really enjoyed it. Recently we just took the EB Transatlantic along with the 1st Med cruise with DCL.

We live in San Diego....any other SD folks out there?
