gino ,igot teared eyes when i see your proposal:lovestruc.i wish you guys have a fabulous wedding, and if you two find time to get out of your cabin:rolleyes1,we are looking foward to meet you.

Can everyone please tell me their plans for their 1st Cabo day again? (Sorry, the title says 2nd day). I could read through pages and pages but I'm lazy.;)

Right now we are booked through DCL for the Resort Pool Getaway. Thinking of switching to a Beach Break @ Medano that includes lounge chair, food, drinks. I thought I remember that others are doing Medano Beach also?

Daylight savings ended here last night - that usually means the end of the warm weather is close  Happy that we're extending it for a few weeks.
My kids only have 5 days left of school before they break so that makes it even seem closer for us :scared1: I guess I had better start packing this week!

Good thing your heading up to the Northern Hemisphere. We just went into daylight savings and it's startin' to get warm. :goodvibes

We're going to do the glass bottom kayaking:
http://www.cabosanlucastours.net/Glass-Bottom-Kayak.htm

We're going to try to go to Mass on Sunday, so we'll plan to do the resort thing that day.
Thanks Emily, after reading your response I realized I wrote 2nd Cabo day when I meant to ask about the 1st. I am confusing myself.

On Sunday we are booked for the Pool Resort Getaway and are thinking of changing to a non DCL excursion that will take us to the beach.

With all our experienced DCL cruisers. Can anyone explain the process of being dropped off at the port by husband with the luggage and they drive the car back to take the shuttle. When he drops you off, do you need to have his driver's lic or do you have to wait for him to arrive to check in? Or will getting dropped off at 10:30 put us in a long line where it won't matter?

TIA!!

So we first booked cruise for an 11B with the KFO. Then we decided to bring along another teen with us so we Changed to a 9C. Friday I seen 9A GTY on the DCL website so called TA and got it for an extra $280. :worship:Low and behold checked DCL website and we were upgraded to a 5B.:banana::banana:
Can you change us on the room list to 7100!!!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: Hey Susan...at least you have a window. You won't be in there very much and if you are you won't be too worried about not having a veranda either!! :goodvibes ;)

So, trying on a few numbers today...:scared1: Will NOT be wearing what I would consider 'Formal' <gotta find that Spanx!>

Jason has always dropped me off at port and returned the rental car. If I remember to take his passport (they need this) then I can check him in. I once forgot and he had to check himself in. This may have changed as we didn't cruise last year.

I too got teary eyed. Your video reminded me of when Virdis popped the question to me. Like Gino, he to was a bit nervous just before he got on bended knee. I only wish I had a video tape of the event.

That is AWESOME. I've just read this to Virdis. I can literally see the wheels turning in his head. Give him an hour or two and I'm sure he will post with his latest theories on how to get some pixie dust.

Hey fellow disboarder

I'm doing some light packing. I've got a Little Black Dress ready for my Palo dinner reservations and another for formal night. My question is what to wear to Palo for brunch? Are the dress requirements at Palo the same for brunch as they are for dinner?

So if I have his passport, does he just show his driver's lic to get into the waiting area?

We are booked on Sunday for the Pool Resort Getaway too but are also thinking of changing to a non DCL excursion as well... I am driving my poor husband crazy with all my changes!

Glad I am not the only one! :lmao: We had the Resort Pool booked, switched to the Resort Beach, then ditched that to just do Cabo on our own.

I have finally finished with my FE things, so now the real packing begins. I finally told my son where we were going on vacation and his face was just incredible. He has never been on a cruise before so he is very excited.

I also need to ask...is this normal on every Disney cruise with the FE's? Who started it? Don't get me wrong...I am looking forward to meeting all of you, but I was just curious. It was DoubleTrouble that got me involved with it.

At brunch and high tea cruise casual is fine. They just request no shorts, jeans, swimwear or tank tops.

I usually go with a dressy-ish top and nice capri's and have always felt like I was appropriately dressed. Skirts and sundresses are common too.

I have finally finished with my FE things, so now the real packing begins. I finally told my son where we were going on vacation and his face was just incredible. He has never been on a cruise before so he is very excited.

Sounds like great timing to me. Long enough for him to experience a bit of anticipation and excitement looking forward to the cruise, but without waiting forever for it to get here.

We had our weekly family planning meeting tonight (not nearly as stuffy as it sounds, and definitely necessary around here) and lots of cruise stuff made the agenda. We're all getting really excited!

I finished most of my FE stuff tonight too. I need to make one more shopping run and then get everything labeled... but I'm getting close.

Dis board FE exchanges started with the first Panama Canal crossing in 2005. They've evolved over the years and they vary from cruise to cruise. I don't know that every cruise has one, but I bet the vast majority do. It just takes a few folks connecting and deciding to put something together.

The sun actually came out for the walk this am! Spread the word as best I can, but tomorrow is the big day. Komo and King5 will both be there to give us some great PR..... :cool1:

I hope the walk went well and that you were able to focus the spotlight on your message. We'll have to chat onboard. Our oldest DD was dx'd at age 16. :sad1:

No, they are more relaxed. Someone posted that it is casual - but it is a little more than just casual. I usually wear a dress, skirt or nice slacks. Jeans are usually not acceptable, shorts are out. men are expected in a collared shirt as well.

So if I have his passport, does he just show his driver's lic to get into the waiting area?
pretty much.

yepper...someone usually starts the process, and many join in...it is a great bit of fun!
