I have done well with my eating and have increased my walking and I gained 2 lbs. :confused3 I had a goal of 10 lbs before WDW at the begining of the week I had to lose 2 1/2 more and I would be at my goal. Now I have 4 1/2 and I don't think I am going to make it in a week. I need some encouragement, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and ideas.

Hi there,

Don't be discouraged. Could you give us an idea of what you ate? Could you be eating too little that your body is holding on to fat because it thinks your starving yourself?

How much did you increase your walking. Could you have added muscle? Could it be water weight?

Keep at it, once you find the right balance you will loose. I usually find it takes 3-4 weeks of exercising before I loose once I add in exercise.

Very likely water weight. Increase exercise, body retains water for a bit.

Don't drink enough water, body reatains.

My water weeight fluctuates 3 to 5 pounds during the month, so you never know.

Also, adding muscle will make you gain fro a bit while losing inches. HAve you measured yourself? This will tell yo uif you're losing fat and gaining muscle. Stick with it. It usually take about 4 to 6 weeks to really start losing. Hanf in there!

Don't be discouraged--because you are doing great things for your body by eating right and exercising!!! Keep doing this and the losses will come!!

Could you be near that time of month? I know that always caused a bump up in the scales for me, but it's usually followed by a nice "whoosh" when it's over?

Are you drinking lots of water? That helps to whoosh away the pounds also!!

Keep up the good work!! You may not have seen the pounds go yet--but you will!! :flower:

Don't get discouraged. Keep at it. I know how hard it is I'm there myself. I bounce up and down throughout the month. You'll get there don't give up! Here's some pixie dust for you :wizard:

Boy do I know what you are going through. I did the same thing and then I lost a few pounds.. hit a yucky plataue and stayed there much longer than I wanted to.

There is a book by the man who was or is Oprahs trainer.. Bob Greene. He mentioned that he LIKES to see his clients actually gain a pound or two when they first start because that tells him they are actually doing what they are supposed to. I don't quite understand it, but I swear that is what he said.

I got past that by increasing my workout by just 15 minutes. Maybe if you do that it will help kick your body into high speed.

Do NOT give up though.. winners never quit and quitters never win. You WILL get there.

Ladies thank you for the pixie dust and encouragement. I had been eating the same food no change and had added more water. The only thing I could come up with was that I was eating dinner later in the evening. I changed that, lost the weight I had gained plus some. I have 1.8 lbs to go.
