Switching over to the best resort IN THE WORLD!

August 15th

Mum and I were up that morning at about 8. We ate breakfast in the room like always, and we got all of our stuff together because we were...

Switching over to the Wilderness Lodge today

I was so excited. The Wilderness Lodge is my FAVORITE resort and I was so happy to be staying there after like 10 years. Thank God it is our DVC home, or I don’t know what I would do.

We called down bell services to get our luggage and we were out of our villa by 10.

Before we actually left the Beach Club, I had to go pick up my Dooney at the Marketplace since I got it shipped.

So Mum waited for me outside the Marketplace and I went in.

I got to the package pick up station and told the woman my name and handed her my receipt. She went in the back to get it.

And came out empty handed.

I started freaking out. WHERE WAS MY DOONEY?!?!?!?

She asked if I was staying at the Beach Club. No, I’m an idiot and have no clue what resort I’m staying at… ARE YOU KIDDING ME LADY?!

I told her we were on the 5th floor in the villas and she looked at me with a confused look on her face.

“There’s a 5th floor in the villas?”

Oh dear God…

You work here lady! You don’t know this stuff?!

All I wanted to do was to get my Dooney and leave.

She asked my name again and went in the back and came out with a bag.

She said my Dooney was way in the back and she didn’t see it at first. Thank GOD she found it or there would go $95 down the drain.

We FINALLY made our way to the parking lot. I put the address in the gps and we were on our way!

And pretty soon we were passing under this sign!

I don’t know if you guys have seen pictures, but they painted the Magic Kingdom sign yellow and blue, and in my opinion, it looks ugly.

Seriously, after you go through the MK sign, you go down a little ways, take a right, and you are at the Wilderness Lodge.

A CM that was at the door brought us up to the front desk and talked to us for a minute while we waited.

Checking into the Wilderness Lodge <3

The lobby is just breathtaking and I probably have five zillion pictures of it. I just love it so much.

We went up to the desk and Connie checked us in. She was SO nice. She made us feel like we were at home (well, technically, we were) and she even gave me a little bag with a coloring book, stickers, and crayons.

Reason #1728962489 why the Wilderness Lodge CMs are the BEST.

Connie even thought Mum was my SISTER. She said she looked really young. Tons of people say that ALL THE TIME. I don’t know why though because I can already see the wrinkles…

Connie was trying to find a room for us that was ready, but she couldn’t. So she took Mum’s cell phone number so we would be notified when our room was ready.

So we headed to the gift shop.

I ALWAYS take a picture with the totem pole every time we go/stay at the Wilderness Lodge.

We walked into the gift shop and I found the cutest thing ever.

WHY U HAVE TO MAKE SO MUCH CUTE MERCH, DISNEY?!?!

Tons of Halloween merch was out!

Loved these cookies!

They have a little pin stand in the lobby so I wanted to pin trade there.

I pin traded with a CM and I got a WDW flag. He noticed my Muppets shirt and asked if I knew about the key. Why yes, yes I do!

Some guy came up to him asked to pin trade and he was a Disfreak and had ALL the Fastpass pins. He was trading for a monorail one and the CM made him recite the “Please stand clear of the doors…”

We went down to Roaring Forks to get a snack.

The CM who checked us out was so nice. Even though I have said this like 50000 times already, I LOVE THE WILDERNESS LODGE CMS!

We sat down at a table and chowed down on these puppies.

One word: DUH.

And Mum got a chocolate chip cookie.

We filled up our mug and we noticed they had a mug wash there! We found that SO cool. Don’t ask.

Mum used the bathroom before we left to hop on a boat and then we headed out by the pool area.

It was beautiful out that day!

I loved the little walkway you have to go down to get to the boats.

A boat was already waiting for us because we are so special.

We headed past the Grand Floridian...

Even if we aren't staying at WL on a trip, we always try to visit. I could serisouly spend hours touring the property. It is SUCH a beautiful resort!
We have met Karin and Tom twice. Once last year on the Dream and then on this past trip. They are so nice!

Off to the most magical kingdom!

Where were we going exactly?

This should explain it all!

We got into the Magic Kingdom and it was packed!

We went straight to the Emporium because when I got my Dooney on Monday, I got a 20% off coupon to use by Wednesday before 12. We had yet to use it and I wanted to get a few things so it was shoppin time!

I got a shirt, we got my cousin a shirt, and Mum got a purse and she gets SO many compliments on it!

I pin traded at the counter and a got a Nightmare Before Christmas pin.

We made our way down Main Street and we headed towards Fantasyland.

I saw Roy, our tour guide from Monday! I wanted to say hi but he was helping out some guests.

Such a pretty day in the Magic Kingdom.

We went into Sir Mickeys and looked around for a few minutes.

Anyone ever notice this in there?

We then went to Phillharmagic. I dont even know why since I cant see the 3D. I mean its a great show and all and I love singing along to the songs, but I cant see anything.
And of course, people didnt move all the way down the row. So many pet peeves in Disney&

After that, we went to the Pooh Dump Shop since we didnt have a chance to look in there the other day. I found a really awesome pair of Mickey earrings in there so I bought em and put them on right then.

Two of my favorite things: Mickey and black with white polka dots!

We left Fantasyland and then went into Tomorrowland.

Wait! We need some New Fantasyland construction pictures!

I have seen SO many pictures of the castle walls since they opened last month and they are beautiful. The details on them are just incredible.

We got into Tomorrowland and I saw Chip & Dale in their Tomorrowland costumes that I love so much, so we hopped in line.
There were these two women in front of us who looked like they were going to a fashion show. They had heels on, ridiculously short skirts, and five pounds of makeup on. Why the crap would you go to a theme park like that?! People are weird I tell you.

We made it up to the front and Chip and Dale kept playing around with my mousekears and put them on the wrong way, and see them in the picture, which came out like crap. I look awful, Dale isnt looking at the camera, Chip is sucking his thumb, and several people are smiling for the camera behind us.

I stopped at a pin cart and I asked the CM who worked there to pin trade because I saw a cool lime green Mickey pin. He asked me if I was 12 or under and I said no and he told me that I couldnt pin trade with him since I was older than 12. I stood there like What the crap?! He told me that the green lanyards are for kids 12 and under. Im sorry, but that is just stupid. And he was really rude about it! I have never heard that rule before.

It was almost time for our ADR so we headed over to Main Street.

I really can't survive without them. Since I'm so rich and all, I should just buy more and decorate the whole house with them. Who cares about trips to Disney when you can see Cinderella's Castle right at your own house?! You wouldn't even have to get out of your pajamas! ​

The Plaza, FREE dessert, and our VILLA is ready!​

We checked into the Plaza and only waited for about 5 minutes. We sat down at one of my favorite tables with the yellow and white umbrellas.

The mayor was walking around the Plaza and talking to the CMs that worked outside.

We got called and were seated near the front of the restaurant.

Our server, Lisa, came over and took our drink orders. She left and we looked over the menu.

Lisa came back with our drinks and when we were in the middle of ordering our food, the Mayor walked in and came over to our table.

And he announced that we were the 100th customers of the day!

And since we were the 100th customers, we were going to buy everyones food!

Yeah, I dont think so.

Everyone cheered and then the Mayor said no we werent going to buy everyones food, BUT we were going to get free dessert! Mum and I didnt think that was true, but we would see!

He asked if anyone would take our picture and someone volunteered to named Alex.

We stood up and posed with the Mayor.

The mayor talked with us for a minute and then Lisa came over and apologized about what happened. No need to say sorry!

We finally ordered our food and I took some pictures of the restaurant.

It was very pretty in there!

Our food came out quickly.

I got the Plaza Club with homemade potato chips.

It was delicious! The homemade chips were AMAZING!

Mum got a cheeseburger with fries.

She thought it was very good and loved how the extras for your burger (tomatoes, onions, etc.) are free!

After we finished, Lisa came out and asked us what we wanted for dessert.

Mum and I shared the brownie sundae.

It was amazing. The brownie was nice and soft, which I love. Sometimes when I get a brownie sundae somewhere, the brownie is a little hard and not good.

We got our bill and guess what?!

WE GOT FREE DESSERT!

We didnt think something could be free in Disney! SHOCKER.

While we were finishing up, Mum got a text. Our room was ready! BOO TO THE YA.

We paid and then made our way out of the park.

The Plaza
Food: Our food was fantastic! We both loved our meals. 5/5
Atmosphere: I thought the restaurant was so pretty. The Plaza is very small though. 4/5
Service: Lisa was very friendly and brought our food out quickly! 5/5

This was our first time at The Plaza and we LOVED it! A lot of people dont know about this restaurant it seems. Mum and I would love to go back! And plus we got free dessert, so that made our lunch there 10000000x better.
And plus it was cheaper than our lunch at Sunshine Seasons! The Plaza > Sunshine Seasons

We got outside and walked down Main Street.

Before we left, we stopped in the Emporium because I saw a pillow I wanted earlier that I HAD to have! And I thought since we were leaving the park, it would be a perfect time to get it since I wouldnt have to drag it around with me.

It was a Haunted Mansion pillow and it was just awesome.

The girl who checked me out was from Australia and had only been in the US for 3 weeks! She said she loved working at Disney. Well, who wouldn't?!

I got my pillow (that will be in my Haunted Mansion room. STAY TUNED!) and when we were walking out of the park, we started talking to this CM who was doing the College Program. She said she was glad she waited until after college to do it because she wouldnt have wanted to go back to school if she did it before.

We FINALLY got out of the park and there was a boat waiting for us already, since we are VIPs and all.

We arrived at the Wilderness Lodge and headed into the lobby.

We stopped at the Bell Services desk and asked if they had our bags and they did, so they were going to deliver them in a few minutes.

We walked down to the villas and went to check out our new villa!

We got villa 1502, which was on the first floor.

We opened our door and our room was just breathtaking!

The bathroom was SO squishy. I took this picture from the door. There was NO room in there.

More of our VILLA and plus we meet Steve's Friend​

This was our porch.

Not a great view like the Beach Club, but we would live.

While I was taking pictures, a CM delivered our bags and was talking to Mum for a few minutes. He was probably flirting with her.
He asked where we were from and told us he used to come to Massachusetts on tour. I was thinking this guy was in a band or something. No he was actually Steve’s friend on Blue’s Clues live on stage, or whatever it was called. First of all, Steve had a friend? And second of all, now you are delivering bags at the Wilderness Lodge and telling people that you toured with Blue’s Clues? I can’t imagine what Disney thought when he handed them his resume.

I noticed we had a message on our phone. I was wondering how we already had a message. Maybe it was from the guests who previously stayed in our room or something. So Mum checked it and it was CONNIE! She said it was wonderful to assist us and to let her know if we need anything. That proves to you that the Wilderness Lodge CMs are THE BEST! Seriously, she took her time to call US if we needed anything. I CAN’T GET OVER HOW AMAZING THE WL CMS ARE OMG.

We went to explore after that.

I would seriously pay to sleep here. That would be awesome. I’m weird like that.

Mum chillin’ in one of the big comfy chairs.

That had checkers and chess out for people to play.

I thought this was SO cool. It’s the original negative and print of Walt riding one of his trains. They had a ton of stuff like this on the walls in the lobby.

We then went outside.

I actually sat in one of the little chairs that are built for like five years old…oh wait. I am five, so it’s built for moi. Surprisingly, I fit in it. I should have had Mum take a picture of me in it, but we all know it would take ten years for her to figure out how to take the picture.

We went to the car to get some laundry. There was a laundry room right down the hallway from our room, so it was very convenient. And plus we brought our own soap, so technically, we didn’t even have to pay, since to do laundry is free to DVC members. Actually, we are just VIPs so that’s why we didn’t have to pay. Not really.

We threw a load in, and then walked down to the main building. And being me, I took five zillion pictures.

We filled our mug at Roaring Forks and then we stopped at the pin stand again and they had a big binder out with a ton of pins in it. I picked out a Figaro pin. I love when they have a huge binder of pins to pick from. I think I left a High School Musical pin that I had from when I was like six with Disney characters instead of the actual weirdos. I’m pretty sure Mickey was Troy and Minnie was Gabriella on it. It’s sad I still remember their names. And all of the songs.

And then we went to check on the laundry. We threw in another load and brought all over our clothes back to our VILLA (I love saying that!).

We decided to head back to the Magic Kingdom for the rest of the night!​

Lizards, Fastpasses, and churros! OH MY!

We went through the main lobby and then outside.

I made a new friend on the way. Her name is Liz. Get it, cause she’s a lizard? And that’s a name that sounds like lizard? Isn’t that SO funny? No? Ok then. Moving on…

THAT’S LIZ HAHAHAHA.

STOP BEING SO BEAUTIFUL.

Then I made some more friends! I don’t have any good names for them.

A boat was pulling up right when we got there! We were just so lucky that day. WHAT AM I SAYING? We are VIPs. That's why the boat was there.

We were getting on the boat when a CM handed us Fastpasses to use anywhere in the Magic Kingdom. Reason #793569864598645896458964897568715678156 why the Wilderness Lodge CMs are the BEST.

A very attractive picture of Mum and I (I wrote “me and Mum” at first and then changed it because I knew the Grammar Queen would read this and correct moi).

A very nice (well she wouldn’t think so) picture of Mum. The woman next to her looks really happy. That’s probably what the new (aka awful) monorail voice guy looked when he was recording his spiel.

We exited the boat in a orderly fashion and Mum took me by the hand, since we all know I am a small child.

The guy who was checking our bags was from Germany and Mum thought that was the best thing in the world. Don’t ask me why. Go send her a PM on here and bother her and ask why she found that to be so amazing. Because I have zero clue why.

We made our way into the Magic Kingdom and said hi to Roy and Minnie.

BALLOOOONS <3

We went to Frontierland first. And it was time to eat again, because 1) It’s vacation and 2) I’m always hungry.

We went to the churro stand and we got churros, because well, it’s the churro stand and not the pie stand or something.

Mickey pretzels + churros = yum.

Well I guess it’s the churro AND Mickey pretzel—that I think are really awesome and really cool, because well, it’s food shaped like the Big Cheese—stand. So I guess I’m wrong. And to come to think of it, they probably had turkey legs. So it’s the Churro/Mickey pretzels that are really awesome/Turkey Leg Stand. That’s what it’s really called. No joke.

We got two churros and it was like nine dollars. Expensive? Yes. Good? Yes, but not worth nine dollars.

We ate our churros on the way over to the wildest ride in the wilderness!

Since we had the Fastpasses from one of the best CMs in the world, we only waited about 10 minutes. It was a great ride as always, but I have to say, I do like it at night a lot better!

After we got off, I wanted to take some roller coaster shots. We went over to where the geyser thingy shoots from. And there is a place where you can see the trains go by. And there is a big outhouse or whatever it is that that is in your way.

After taking a few pictures, we made our way into Liberty Square.

It was SOO hot. Like, I was sweating, and it was almost six o’ clock. Mum told me she just wanted to take her shirt off because it was just sticking to her so much. I told her I couldn’t wait to see the headlines in the news...

“WOMAN TAKES SHIRT OFF IN THE MAGIC KINGDOM.”

“MAN ACUSES WOMAN OF FLASHING HIM BUT IT WAS ACTAULLY JUST HER GETTING COOL BECAUSE OF THE HEAT.”

“WOMAN GETS ARRESTED FOR NOT HAVING A SHIRT AT DISNEY. MEANWHILE, HER DAUGHTER GETS A REALLY AWESOME MICKEY PRETZEL TO EAT WHILE SHE WAITS FOR HER MOM TO GET BACK FROM JAIL.”

“LIBERTY SQUARE WITNESSES SOMETHING NO ONE SHOULD EVER SEE IN DISNEY.”

Just to let you guys know, Mum did not get arrested or take her shirt off for that matter. That would be just weird.

The next place we went has 999 happy haunts...that totally gives it away. Whatevs.​

I don't know what to call this chapter...so I will just call it More Disney craziness written by yours truely.

We went to the Haunted Mansion next and got in the interactive queue.

Oh that’s where my picture of the busts is!

I was trying to get a good picture of the instrument wall but some weird dude is in the way. Loser.

Roy told us that if you touch all the instruments at once that it will play the Haunted Mansion organ music (aka THIS).

On the other side of the instrument wall, there are some weird instruments, which are a tribute to the Museum of the Weird which was going to be at Disneyland.

In my Haunted Mansion room, I have a crow (it’s supposed to be a raven) that is like the raven you see throughout the queue and ride, like this one for example.

The Raven was actually supposed to be a narrator for the Haunted Mansion, so as you see, the Imagineers made tributes for him throughout the attraction.

My raven is named Ralph (short for Ralphy Red Eyes). I got him at Michael’s because all of the Halloween stuff is out. So when we got him, I made him sit on the bar thing on our carriage and when I was pushing it, I was petting him like he was my actual pet (well he is my pet…). Then I fed him some of those fake grapes they have and his beak got “stuck” in a grape. Mum just kept rolling her eyes at me and kept telling me that I am ridiculous. Now he sits in my room on a bunch of flowers, staring at me. I feel so bad because Mum burned his bottom with the hot glue gun. Before she glued him down I gave him a haircut because his hair was crazy and sticking out all over the place. Now I just need to put some red paper over his eyes, because Ralphy Red Eyes isn’t fitting for him right now…

Just to let you guys know, I am not on drugs. And I know most of you people who read this nonsense probably think so, but I’m not. And probably most of you who read this are lurkers and don’t comment but my friend ireneryan isn’t like that. I am actually going to Disney with her next month even though I’m already going to Disney next month but this will be earlier in the month since I am leaving on Thanksgiving because I have so much money because I never got those three Cinderella Castle replicas because I thought that would be a waste of $112,500 when I could stay at the Poly and the Grand Floridian with ireneryan. We had to make room for everyone and we were notified that there was no turning back. OH NO!!!!!!!

“Is this haunted room actually stretching, or is it your imagination?”

“This chamber has no windows or no doors…”

“Now as they say, look alive.”

“We have 999 happy haunts here, but there is room for 1,000. Any volunteers?”

“Take your loved ones by the hand please, and watch your step.”

“Any no flash pictures please. We spirits are frightfully sensitive to bright lights.”

Sorry, I’m a little obsessed with the Haunted Mansion lately and have been listening to the ride audio a lot. I’m going to be that person that knows everything that the ghost host says and stuff…oh wait. I already am.

It was so cool to go through the ballroom scene. I was saying “WE WERE DOWN THERE!” over and over again.

We got off and Mum looked at her phone and my school called. I was like “DON’T YOU PEOPLE KNOW WHERE THE CRAP I AM?!?!?!” So we sat down and I took some photographs.

I don’t know why, but I love the fence at the Haunted Mansion. I’m weird like that.

My school left a message saying that sports tryouts were coming up and I could have cared less. I, for one, do not play sports, and two, DO NOT WANT TO BE BOTHERED AT DISNEY.

We went through Fantasyland next.

We went to the left of the castle (if you are facing the back of it) and stopped at the Cinderella Wishing Well, or whatever it’s called.

Cinderella’s Castle is just mind blowing. Y U HAVE TO BE SO AMAZING?

I am just in LOVE with this picture.

Tons of people were sitting on Main Street and around the Hub to watch the Main Street Electrical Parade and Wishes, so we joined all the stupid guests, except we aren’t stupid. We are awesome, well at least I am because no one is as cool as moi. Well Mum is awesome…I guess. I shouldn’t say that actually because she takes me to Disney, so I guess that makes her semi-awesome.
