Myself, DH, DS age 7,9, DD age 4...
The kids woke up Saturday morning and we walked around the AKL. Saw a lot of downed trees and debris, but it did not look to bad. After having breakfast in the room, we headed out for MGM.
This was probably our worst day of the trip. Because AK and TL were closed, MGM and I am assuming the other open parks were mobbed. At MGM none of the fast pass machines were in operation, resulting in big lines for everything!
DD and husband went to Beauty and the Beast show while me and the boys waited 30 minutes for RnR Rollercoaster. DS age 7 chickened out at the last minute so I waited with him while the other one rode. I wish we could have had a FP! Met DH and DD, and along with the 7 yr old, they took off for Little Mermaid while we waited for ToT for about 40 minutes. Everyone met up @ the Muppet Theater, ate our pre-packed lunch (thanks AKL) and saw the Muppet Show, which I really didn't like. From there the kids played around, went on Star Tours, waited out more rainstorms and were getting pretty tired of the crowds. We took the boat launch over to the Beach Club, waited 45 minutes for a table @ Beaches and Cream while the kids played in the arcade.
Beaches and Cream was so well worth the wait!! We used three vouchers and paid sepeartly for our DD kids meal. The boys were happy to order off the adult menu, DH and I split a double hamburger and ate what the kids didn't finish. They boys ordered root bear floats, DD got a shake and we all split and banana split. Everyone was starving becasue we had not eaten a lot all day. The vouchers were a great deal here, I am glad that we had them.. This was the only time that we used vouvchers our entire trip. This meal was a highlight of our trip.
Aftert B&C we headed back to MGM via the boat and quickly caught a bus to AKL where we put our full, tired, wet and slightly grumpy children back to bed.
DH stayed up and did some laundy, while I fell asleep too!
