Did your kids ever ask for funny/strange things for Christmas?

My DD is 2 years old. For about two months now, she's been requesting one thing (and one thing only) for Christmas - a pink wallet. I have NO idea where she got this idea or why she's got her heart set on it sooo much! Needless to say, Santa is bringing her a pink wallet on Christmas morning.

My friend's 2-year-old only wanted a flashlight last Christmas!

What silly/funny things did your kids request for Christmas?? :lmao:

My 7 year old son put together quite a list this year. Some things on his list included everlasting snow (we live in Georgia, so not likely!), a time machine, a diamond ("What?" he said, "I heard they're rare, so I want one!"), a $100 bill, a magic wand (not a toy, but a real one that will do real magic, of course), and an old brick.

No kids of my own, but when my sister (who is much younger than me) was about 3, all she wanted for Christmas was a set of golf clubs and a Zorro costume :lmao:

My nephew (about 5 at the time) had 2 special requests: an Ariel (as in, the Little Mermaid) costume, and a cigar...just one cigar, in his Christmas stocking. He was very specific about the whole thing. :rotfl:

My DD7 wants wrestlers and the ring- we don't and have never even watched wrestling!!! LOL

Can't think of anything strange for Christmas but my niece was very excited when I told her I was buying her tomotoes for her birthday. So she got a basket of cherry tomatoes for her birthday and she loved it.

When my DS was about 3 (he's now 18) about two days before Christmas he told me he wanted a billy goat. Where he got that idea, I'll never know-maybe he had heard the Three Billy Goats Gruff story at preschool :)

Fortunately there is a toy store in town that carries just about every stuffed animal there ever could be and I actually found a billy goat stuffed animal puppet that Santa brought him. He has it till this day-of course I won't let him get rid of it knowing what an odd request it was. Brings back lots of memories for me.

I have read similar threads in years past where lots of kids ask for bacon. I think that is funny.

DS3 last year asked for a lollipop. Thats it. This year a Mickey Mouse watch. He can't tell time yet and neither DH or I wear a watch....but for some reason he wants one.

My niece just turned 4 in the beginning of December and every time someone asked what she wanted for her birthday she would say "A watermelon" She ended up with two of them and was so excited at her birthday party. She's a weird kid :rotfl:

For Christmas she wants lemonade. :confused3
I guess that's what happens when you have a kid that has it all.

My DS2 has asked Santa for a notebook this year!

My granddaughters both asked for the new layered gum.

Not really strange, but my 7 year old wants Lindt chocolates. Can't say I blame her, they are sooooo good so I got her a bag for her stocking.

My 8 year old wants a snuggie

That's exactly what my dd wrote on her list. All she asked for was Snuggie for kids, socks, Cooking Mama. Just the other day she said, "Can you or Santa get me new panties for Christmas?" I always hated getting socks and underwear for Christmas. :confused3

My 6 year old is the queen of odd gift requests. For her 3rd birthday all she wanted was rain boots. For her 5th birthday only cow girl boots, no toys. :lol

This year she wants a chia pet :lmao:. She also wants a real pony but knows that is not going to happen. I really wanted to get her the chia pet but dh told me no.

She also asked for hexbugs which she did get. They are very cool robot bugs.

When DS1 was 3 years old, all he wanted for Christmas was underwear. That was his answer for anyone who asked, including Santa.

My son is the king of strange requests. One year he asked for scotch tape. (He was 3 or 4.) My mom got him a 6 pack. He had a blast with it, played with it for a year. We had tape strung everywhere.

The next year he wanted a timer (like a kitchen timer).

Yup. 9 YO DS. He wants a blue pillow to go in his new *space theme* bedroom. That's all he's asked for. So Santa got him a blue comforter set. NOW (this week!) I find out he wants a blue PILLOW....not a pillow in a blue pillow case. Poor darlin isn't getting the ONLY thing he asked for. He'll be thrilled with the comforter set and probably not even remember that it was just a PILLOW he wanted.....but dear old Santa's heart is broken knowing it's not truly what he asked for...:sad1:

No strange gift requests but a strange wrapping request... one year ds wanted his gifts wrapped in orange and green paper. He put it in his letter and requested it when he visited Santa at the mall. Orange and green Christmas paper is IMPOSSIBLE to find but I was sure his magic would be ruined w/o that paper so I got some orange paper from school (I'm a former teacher) and used a sponge shaped like a Christmas tree to add green paint. He ripped into his presents and never gave the paper a second thought. ;)

Coincidentally, the same year he wanted orange paper for Christmas he also dressed up a snowman for Halloween. I don't know if he was just blending his holidays at that point of it was just a wierd coincidence, lol.

I asked for construction paper one year; Santa brought one of those jumbo packages of it that went by how many pounds were in the package. Guess Santa has some great connections at Costco (or a teachers' supply store). I was about 7 when I asked for this, and still had paper left from it through all 4 years in highschool
