Did your baby (or babies) have lots of hair?

I had a lot of Hair and all 3 of my girls did too. No one ever lost any hair, not even in the back where I see a lot of kids get that bald spot.

I wish I knew how to post pictures.

Russ was born with just a cap of hair - a little more than the fuzz of the bald babies, but not much.

It never really fell out, though, he just grew more and more. In the winter it was reddish - from a blonde mother and a brunette father, where does the red come from?? Now it's the same color as my sister's.

Two baldies here, but they both had some pretty strange ear hair that disappeared a short time after they were born...

DS had a lot of hair. During one of my sonograms the tech asked me if I had heartburn and I answered yes. Turns out she could see DS's hair on the sonogram and knew he had a lot. He lost some in the back. You should see it now. :rolleyes1

DD had a little hair but lost it all.

My oldest DS was born BALD but he had the blonde-ish fuzz going on.

After one full year of complete baldness people started asking ME when his hair would actually GROW...(humm hold on I will get my crystal ball and give you all the exact dates)...how do I know... :confused3 (odd)!!!

But seriously, it finally started coming in by 18 months.

DS#2 was born WITH blonde hair and JET BLACK EYES and by the time he was 3yo his hair started to get darker. He has brown hair now. I had this feeling that with those BLACK EYES that for some reason the blonde hair would not last and so I took tons of pictures to remind me of his blonde locks after he was all grown up!!! :goodvibes

Both my kids had a good amount of hair but it was very fine like mine. When my ds was born we called it rockstar hair. His hair always stood straight up no matter what we did, until his first haircut (now we have to use gel to get that look and of course he wants it now). My dh however had his first haircut at 6 weeks and it was a 70's bowl cut (so longer then a regular boys cut)!! You think Suri's pompadour is bad you should see my dh's baby pics. He had (and still has thankfully ;) ) super thick dark hair.

momrek06- My 4yo has black eyes too. I've never met anyone else with them. We get lots of comments on his eyes (they are really big and long lashes). They thought I might have black eyes as a baby but they turned brown around 2 (still very dark but brown). His seem like they might stay. My great grandmother had black eyes her whole life and ds is the first of all her heirs to get them.

Our son had a full head of dark hair, most of which fell out after several months. He ended up with just a little light brown hair when he was about a year old. Now he once again has plenty of dark hair.

Yes...so many people say to me..."His eyes are very piercing"...but they generally mean it as more like "distinguished"...it is amazing to me because DS#1 has BLUE BLUE eyes and me: basic brown and DH: basic green!!!! We have quite the array of eye color in my family. :goodvibes

BTW Tink: DS is 20yo and they are still JET BLACK..they stayed along with his dimples...and where the heck did he get those... :confused3

"I wonder if there was a screw-up at the hospital"... :lmao: :lmao:

DS#1 used to ALWAYS say that when DS#2 was acting rather WILD and OUT-OF-CONTROL... :lmao: :lmao:

Yes, my first one looked like your Anna (totally precious pic by the way!). When he was born it was past his shoulders.........he also still had dark hair on his forehead, back, back of his arms.

But my second one was born with a lot less, and then it fell out! He had just a bit up on top and it was very thin..........also way lighter than his brother's.

By age 4 though, it's darkened and thickened to look just like brother's!

1st was your typical bald baby with barely any hair.

2nd had lots are hair. In her 3 month old picture--it is fluffed and styled standing about an inch from her head. (It was wavy then and now it is bone straight).

So does my oldest.........dh was playing with him, flipping him in the air when he was about 18 months old and dropped him on his head. We lived in an apartment with really thin carpet over a concrete floor. He was crying, of course, and started vomiting. I called the pedi and the lady asked me if his pupils were equal.........I said, "Hold on, I can't really see his pupils" and she got really panicked, "You mean his pupils are dilated all the way?!?" I said, "No, wait a minute, we have to take him outside, we just can't see them because his irises are so dark!" (He was fine, btw).

Tons of dark black hair for mine and killer heartburn during my pregnancies too.

None of mine lost any hair, it just sort of lightened as they aged. Made for an interesting look for awhile.
;)

Now they range from dark blonde to light brown.

I'll have to see if I can dig up a baby picture or two.

PAIGE: You had me sooo freaked as I was reading your post...I was so hoping this ended the way it did...with DS being FINE...OMG...serious like ouch...but so TRUE with BLACK EYES you cannot tell if they are dilated..kinda funny you had to take him OUTSIDE!!! :goodvibes

My oldest has the jet black eyes too. It is weird how you can't see the iris isn't? She gets compliments all the time.

Strangely her younger sister who has red hair also has very dark brown eyes. They were much lighter and as she has gotten older they keep getting darker, but they will never be as dark as her older sisters I don't think.

My oldest eyes have always just been black.

WOW...I think this is just so amazing...so many babes with BLACK EYES!!! I remember at DS' Christening he had on his little white gown and between his Irish "fish belly" white skin and those BLACK EYES...everyone was just so "taken" by his eyes. They just seemed to really stand out that day!!!!

 OKAY now you guys have me all sad...DS left me June 25th to study overseas UNTIL Jan 2007 and all of a sudden I have this MAD CRAZY  desire to look into those WILD BLACK EYES of his and I can't..... !!! I will just have to settle for the one million pics I have of him around the house.. :goodvibes

momrek06- I am sorry that you are missing your son. How long is he gone for?

This pic was taken last year of my dd. You can see her dark eyes well in it.
