Did your baby (or babies) have lots of hair?

DD was born with a full head of straight, almost black hair. It never fell out but did lighten up to a beautiful dark brown.

All the babies in my family were bald so I had no experience with what to do with all that hair. After years of caring for nephews, nieces, and assorted cousins, it was the one thing I had to look up in a baby book. I was used to just washing a baby's head when you gave them a bath. :teeth:

Mine did. Both of them. Lots of it and it never fell out. I had heartburn too. :cool1:

See for yourself.

Anna was about 6 months old here (we didn't have a digital camera so it was harder for me to find a baby pic.)

Lily was 4 months old here.

Oh my gosh! I wish I could get a picture of my 5th baby scanned so I could show you how much your daughter and mine look alike! She still has a massively thick head of hair!

Ava had so much hair that when she was in the NICU they put a bow in her hair (with sugical tape) She got her first haircut right real soon after that ;) The nurse meant well

She's adorable! :)

Thank you both! She is LOUD also.

Ava83, when I saw that picture of your baby I thought it was one of my DD that I had never seen before. After a few min I could see it wasn't, but wow!

Edited to add, I love the picture. We need more pic's on this thread. Keep them coming!

Transparent. I would love to see the pic. Isn't it amazing? (and don't they grow fast?) That little baby in the leaves started Kindergarden yesterday. :goodvibes )

No, all three of mine were pretty bald. Noah is almost 18 months and still doesn't have much. I was shocked when my DD finally got hair at around 18 months and it was curly! So cute!

I had lots of dark hair as a baby.My first DS had the most hair but not the other two. I alays expectedmykids to have a lot of dark hair, my DD was almost blonde as a baby.

I had one born with hair and 2 without. The one with the hair lost it and it grew back much lighter. It was jet black when she was born. The younger 2 are both red heads and pretty bald. These pics are all around when they were 6 months. From oldest to my youngest (the pic was taken last week!)

Wow I can't believe how much they all look alike!

Oh no those pics are huge. How can I make them smaller? Edit :Think I figured it out!

DD (22) had a full head of black hair which the nurses put in a little "pigtail) on top of her head. Everyone said it would fall out, but it never did. It just kept getting longer and thicker, although it did get a bit lighter. It is incredibly thick and wavy, just like mine. Unfortunately, it's already turning grey, just like DH. He was salt and pepper by age 30, completely white now...but still has a full head of hair.

DS (13) had a full head of thin dark hair, which all fell out but grew back quickly, and blonde. It gradually darkened to thick, dark brown hair by elementary school.

At age 85, DM's hair is just starting to thin, and she has less gray than I.

I have three children who were each born with a head full of hair. DD#1 was blonde, DD#2 had brown hair and DS had a head full of black hair. I had terrible heartburn for each of them. Always had Rolaids in my purse whenever I left home. They got their first hair cuts at four months old.

Sorry, this is officially OT!

To get myself sooooo off topic that I may never find my way out :rotfl: ;)

Ava83, when I saw that picture of your baby I thought it was one of my DD that I had never seen before. After a few min I could see it wasn't, but wow!

Our girls do look alike don't they-it is uncanny. I went back and looked and I was WOW also. The pretty curls is the only thing different. HMMM have you met my DH (just teasing)

:rotfl: :rotfl: There is another women on Dis that son looks so much what I would imagine if I had a son would look like (just like my DH as a child) that if my DH every traveled I might have my suspicions.
However he is always home at my side so I don't. ;) Still uncanny isn't it? :teeth:

I have a picture somewhere of my older DD (with the straight hair) that really looks just like the picture you posted. (pink outfit any everything.) I can't seem to find it and it isn't digital so I would have to scan it. If I can I will though.

Aneille, cute kids!

My first son was bald and no heartburn with that pregnancy.
My second son had a head full of dark brown hair that is now blonde! Had heartburn with that pregnancy.
For this pregnancy I have had killer heartburn.....guess we will have to see how much hair she has when she gets here. :)

My DS6 was born with lots of thick, dark hair, though he's no Suri! He had cradle cap, so I tried a home remedy for getting rid of it, which made him look like a greaser... I scrubbed and rubbed on his poor scalp, and the hair in the front fell out, so I quit.

It grew back a lighter brunette but still thick, and today he's got enough hair for at least 2 kids! Obviously takes after DH rather than me.

DS2's hair is strawberry blond and very fine like mine.

My son was born with lots of dark brown hair...enough to comb and part! And he never lost any of it! My DD, on the other hand, was practically bald when she was born. She had a little bit of light reddish hair, but nothing like DS! He still has thick hair, hers is thick but fine.

No real heartburn with either one!
