i wanted to go over new year's but not anymore - now we are thinking mid november and the christmas party thing is going on at the same time - wondering if anyone went and if it was fun,e tc....

Also, if anyone has been in mid november - was it ok at that time?

thanks!

If you go, make sure it is during a slow time. We went during a slow time of year, but that night they had a special promotion for DVC members. It was sold out. It was so crowded, it was gridlock on main street. We began calling is Mickeys Very Greedy Christmas Party.
Based on our experience, we would not recommend it, but I know a lot of people who love it.

We also went on a discounted night and found the crowds to be quite large! My kids, my husband and I had fun but I did not think it was worth the extra money. The shows were neat, but they are generally scheduled close to Christmas on Saturday's anyways, and we had pretty long lines for rides. I would not do it again. HTH Kate

We did it on Dec. 21. It was nice, but for the price, we probably won't do it again.

:santa: We did it a weekday early December 2006. We loved it! Granted, we're a Christmassy bunch but, we found that the parade, shows, fireworks, snow on Main Street and atmosphere was worth the ticket price.

We did it in early December 2007. It was sold out the night we went. It was crowded on Main Street, but we walked onto every ride we chose to ride that night. We also walked right up for our cookies and hot chocolate. (I was sure we'd have to wait forever.) There were lots of characters around for pictures, too.

The parade and the fireworks were incredible... and I do think, overall, it was a nice experience. I don't know if it's "worth" the money, but we had already spent it by then -- and we had a great time.

I would be willing to do it again, but I will wait till my kids are older. They were 3 and 7 at the time and they got tired (and we left) several hours before the party was over. I am sure we could have gotten *lots* of extra rides in if we'd stayed till the end.

We did it Nov 13, 2006. The kids were 6, 6, 8, and 10. It was crowded and too late for us. It didn't feel more special or merry than any other evening we spent in the parks.

We wouldn't do it again.

We went last year and loved it. we got in with our ticket at 4pm, so we didn't use a day of our regular passes for that day, we went shopping in the am at DTD. The cocoa and cookies were awesome. Go to the 2nd parade and do shows early and hit the rides during the first parade and after the 2nd one. It really clears out by the 2nd parade as those with little ones tend to leave. We had an awesome time and the fireworks were fantastic.

Went 2005 - too crowded, not fun for us, not enough rides open, very disorganized. We havent gone back since.

We went mid-December 2006. Would I do it again? Probably not. We went to Disney Quest and DTD during the day and Chef Mickey at 5 for dinner, so we arrived around 6:30. The fireworks were fantastic! Only my middle child and I stayed for the late parade. It was nice, but we were jet-lagging, and it was just too late. We just sort of treated it like another MK day and I would have rather just done it in the DAY! I didn't feel it was that much more christmassy than the other day we spent at MK, but we didn't go see any of the special shows, we like to RIDE!

we do it, we do one party during vacation if offered and I have never regretted doing that party. I have never encountered a too crowded, always made it on all of the rides or most all the rides wiht little to no wait. I will, in the future, doa party when it is offered, which means that I will be doing it on my arrival night this December instead of a Saturday night.

I'd say probably no for us too.

The parade was OK, but I couldn't help comparing it to the Halloween parade at MNSSHP the year before, and I liked that one much better. The fireworks were good, but not spectacular like the ones I just saw at the Pirate and Princess Party.
Having little/no wait at the attractions was nice, and it was fun to see the characters dressed in their holiday outfits, but overall, not a huge WOW for us.

I would, however, do the MNSSHP again in a heartbeat.

We went last year on a sold out night and found it to be the highlight of our trip. We never waited longer than 10 minutes for a ride. We thought the parade was fantastic. The shows were really neat. I could have lived without the fireworks, but they were really nice. Plus, there are tricks to avoid the crowds. Don’t see Santa there—he’s at DtD too. Go the second parade. If eating there, eat early (be done by 6/6:30 PM). Arrive at 4 PM to get the most bang for your buck. Don’t try and get the treats in Fantasyland.

Go to All Ears check out the rate & review section and look up MVMCP. Read at least 2 pages of reviews!

The only thing that made it worth the money for me was Belle's Christmas Story reading. My mother had made my daughter the full blown Belle Christmas outfit, including the red hooded cape-her outfit was incredible and looked as good as the cast outfits. Anyway she was chosen to be part of the show and got to be the angel. The video I have of her onstage is definitely worth the cost, but truly that is the only thing that made the night worth the money.

We attended int 2004, and loved it!

Of course we don't go to Disney every year, but we had an opportunity to go and it was excellent!

:thumbsup2
