Did you see this: Marie Claire magazine posts "Should fatties get a room?" article.

Do people really not have atleast 30 minutes a day to do something for them selves?
takes a lot of time and effort at the gym to look like that. I know. And I flat out do not have it....not if my kids are priority one, which they are.

Are you saying that those that do make the time don't prioritize their kids?

I'm not even going to touch the not letting baby sleep by herself or cry issue.

But now I have to rescind your job offer.

HOw about me, I don't care about holding her while she cries as long as I don't have to do it all the time. I love holding babies. I am in grandma mode, too bad my oldest is only 14. lol

Need to get to nursery duty in church to get my baby fix.

Again, 30 minutes a day of jogging in place is not going to get you that gym body unless you already were predisposed to it.

I definitely have 30 minutes a day. But still I don't look like I used to. Part of that is having had kids, part is still BFing (breasts a lot bigger than usual), part is metabolism slowing down as you age.

Of course you prioritize your kids. It's situational. I used to run for an hour a day with my son in the jogging stroller. It was nice, till I killed my knees. But if a working mother spends hours a day at the gym in addition to work (and with small children, not older ones)., then what would YOU call it.

I am so sick of people judging just because of how I look. So here it is ME in the khol's dressing room a few weeks ago. I am 26 5'5 210 pounds and i wear a size 14 large top.

If someone doesn't like you because of your outsides you don't need them in your life. :thumbsup2

As long as i can live with my self i am happy.:cheer2:

Yes i know being over weight isn't healthy, or good for my body but i don't need someone to remind me every single day.I am working on getting to a "healthy" weight and one day i might be there.

A teacher once told me "people that make fun of others have such low self esteem they need to pick on others to make them self's feel better"

So judge away........ popcorn::

Come on over!

She's sweet but ROUGH. She's my last. Without question. A stubborn mommy's girl. Her own grandma lives 45 minutes away and has no bond with her. It kind of sucks.

Uh yeah. . really sometimes they don't. I can't speak for anybody else, but up until I hurt my back my schedule pretty much looked like this:

5am get up, make lunches, do some laundry and get ready for work
630am work
730ish pm normally get home, make dinner, make sure homework is done and notes are signed, put the clothes in the dryer, etc
900 pm shower :thumbsup2
930 pm make sure everyone is headed to bed and things are ready to go for tomorrow. . .check calendar!
10pm fall asleep on the couch in exhaustion

repeat M-Sat, hope we don't run out of milk or bread before Sunday and pray for death. Jk about that last part. . .uh. . .I think.

Good for you! I really mean that.

And that is one SMART teacher. :thumbsup2

I think you have just inspired me. I was over weight and then had a hysterectomy last Dec. OMG, what that surgery can do to you. But I refuse to use it as an excuse, I will get on that treadmill and start, after all I have a cruise in 8 months.

That is the spirit!! Start slow and work yourself up. You can do it!!

I love my treadmill too. Use it when I can. Get the right shoes! Your knees will thank you for it.

Great advice...your shoes are important for both your knees and your feet. I had blisters for months when I first started walking. I guess my feet had to toughen up due to the friction. And don't forget to ice your knees after you walk or run....that helps a lot too!

Hey, what shoes did you use? I used Saucony but they killed my feet and knees this time.

No kidding right? :rotfl:

Heaven forbid I had to run to the store! :scared1:

Or pay bills. . .or make a grocery list. . .or put gas in the car. . .or mow the lawn. . .or. . .or. . .or. . .

I don't care how fat you are and I wish you luck in your weight loss. However, it was really unnecessary of you to post pictures of yourself half naked, I could have done without seeing that.

You work 8-5?

OK, what about if your job was more like......7-8:30. Those are my husband's hours counting commute. He's a lawyer, and no, no one uses the "firm gym". Unless they wake up at 5am, maybe. Except when he got home last night, he ate dinner, put our son to bed, and worked at home till 2am.

So, tell me where's he slacking?

I agree that it's normal to have curves, but that doesn't mean you have to be a size 14. I'm a size 4 with curves, and I like to think I'm representative of the average woman.

The average woman in the USA is a size 14, so no you are not a representative of the average woman. :headache:

I get a sense of smugness over being a size four, according to Hollywood you are FAT, size zero it is. I bet there are other areas of your life that you feel less smug about that people would rag you about out of ignorance. Care to share?

Firedancer, I kind of see your point, I don't like to watch short bald men make out with anyone.:rolleyes1

Lastly,
We are each burdened with prejudice; against the poor or the rich, the smart or the slow, the gaunt or the obese. It is natural to develop prejudices. It is noble to rise above them. ~Author Unknown
