But don't call us scumbags. It's totally uncalled for.
I agree, as a whole.
May I have your permission to call just ONE lawyer a scumbag? (Not you).

There's nothing much to say. I just feel so sorry for the victim who will now have hearing loss and blurred vision for (probably) a very very long time.
I hope those 'kids' are charged as adults.

You don't need my permission.![]()
I saw it this morning and it made me sick.
Several months ago, my 15 year old sister was beaten by five teenage girls from another town while two girls held her best friend down. The two girls holding down her best friend were their classmates who "arranged" for my sister to get "jumped" because they just didn't like her. It was much worse than this video this morning. She was beaten and kicked in the head numerous times at once by the five girls. She ended up being taken to the ER and had to have all sorts of tests done on her skull, brain, neck and spinal cord. She was fortunate to just have some bumps on her head and whiplash requiring her to wear a brace for a little while.
That was in September. The girls who did this, not only bragged about it and admitted it, they posted it on their MySpace page. Since this has happened my sister continues to get harassed daily at school (where the principal told her last week to "suck it up").
Last month, they finally went to court and the girls admitted it and the judge ordered them 20 hours of community service, several months probabtion, and a walk-through of a local prison. Not enough if you ask me. To hold one girl down, while five beat her is more than just trying to hurt someone a little bit.
These girls who did this to my sister are animals just like the girls in that video. I hope the judge gives out a harsher punishment than my sisters attackers.
As a person who was teased mercilessly and occasionally beaten up in grade school, I am so sorry to hear about your sister. She should be proud that she is not letting those girls chase her out of school. As for the Principal telling your sister to "Suck it up", I cannot say on a public forum what I would tell him or her. That is an utter disgrace!
YIKES!! Is this rip up the professor day?
Everyone has the right to be defended. Its the lawyers job regardless if the defendant is guilty or not guilty to defend them.
Its a hard job but someone has to do it.
Setting personal feelings aside, they are getting paid to do their job.
So if he happened to be a Dr. who was operating on a say rapist, who was dying, would you be ripping him a new one for doing his job? And saving someones life? Would that also make the DR. a scumbag? just sayin....
With that said, what happened is awful.
No one should have to go through that.
I believe they should be get the same beating they put that poor girl through.
But will that happen? Not likely.
With any chance they will get charged as adults.
But I am not sure that any justice will be enough for what they have done to her.

Thank you Roe. My mother had a few choice words for the principal as she actually said it in front of my mother as well.
I'm watching this case closely. If those girls are charged as adults, I am telling my mother to go back to the police/detectives on my sisters' case and seek harsher punishment.

They had the home video of the Today Show. A bunch of teens beating the bejeezus out of their ex-friend for posting smack about them on her Myspace. Apparently the girl now has hearing loss and eye damage. Two guys charged as well as they acted as lookouts outside the home where it happened. the 6 girls are awaiting charges. It was insane!

The one girls mom was a real loon when tehy interviewed her too. Trying to defend her daughter (who was one of the attackers).
I just heard that all of the kids would be charged as adult, with the exception of the 14 & 15 year olds.
However, it was the 14 year old that knocked the girl initially unconscious & the 15 year old landed many blows, however, should the Kidnapping charges (or holding her against her will) stick, the 14 & 15 year olds CAN be held accountable as adults.... As for how the girl got in the house, she was called via phone to come over to visit...
The girl has blurred vision in the left eye as well as deafness and a concussion. This was the latest information tonight.
So the ONLY two girls who actually touched this girl are the only ones not being tried as adults? Lovely.![]()
It was just announced ALL the kids would be charged as adults.
They're all being charged with kidnapping and battery & 3 of them are being charged with witness tampering....
Personally I hope they get what they gave, but that's just me...
